Santa's Tirpitz camo

To finish the campaing you need to have 1 battle on the Tirpitz, but many ppl doesn't have the ship. Can this be changed play 1 battle with the Spee? If you don't have the ship you'll not using the "New" camo anyways. Also if in the future you buy/get the Tirpitz would be good to have that camo too...

Buy now and complete or wait until next Christmas (if WG will even rehost the Tirpitz' camo).  Or wait and see if WG will just sell it straight for those who buy in too late (even during limited time events, similar to Texas' Murrica camo).

It's worth the purchase. Tirp with a Free XP bonus built in is really, really nice. Especially if you're working on Missouri.

In all seriousness though, it's one of those camos that may not make a return at all, like the 2015 Permacamo.  Or may end up only being available for sale at certain periods (like Texas' Flag camo).  It would be pure luck if WG decides to make it permanently available for future Tirpitz owners, but at a cost.  Much like Prinz Eugen's 2nd Permacamo.

You need to play 1 game on the ship to earn it first. And the campaing finishes the 1/19 i think

If you'd actually want a Tirpitz it's probably worth, since that's the camo that makes Anshan special: a free-xp farming camo. If you aren't interested in Tirpitz gameplay, then it's a waste of money and you're better off getting Anshan when that rolls around for sale again, if Anshan would appeal more.

Don't tell the guy complaining about there being a task that requires 500K credits in a single match that the end-point of all this is camo for a premium ship. He was already pretty upset that without a premium account that single task, that isn't even required to move through the missions, is nearly impossible to complete.

 

But really, it does seem odd that at the end of this grind the ultimate reward is cammo for a ship that isn't really part of the campaign. Seems like it would have been cool to offer a second final task (player could only choose one of them) that had a reward for players who don't have a Tirpitz.

Some people are just completionists.

 

If players knew they had a camo waiting should they ever buy Tirpitz that might sell more ships too... it can't hurt, so idk why WG wouldn't do it.

I just noticed this yesterday as well. I was under the impression that these missions were free, and besides buying the graf early, you didnt need to spend money to unlock them.

You know, you can just hover over the mission requirements and it would say "Complete mission on a Tirpitz". Furthermore, if you knew how premium camos are equipped, you'd know you'd need the ship for it to show and be able to be mounted on.

 

Also, the whole argument about being a "completionist" seems OCD-like to me lol

I hope they sell it at some point. I was working overtime during the holidays and never had the time to complete the Spee missions, let alone do the Santa Convoy missions.

The point is you should be able to unlock the camo, even if you don't own the TIrpitz, you're gonna have a premium camo on her anyway because shes premium but the fact you need to even buy it in order to unlock it is kinda dumb.

There was a contest a while back to get a camo for the New York, one of the conditions to receive the camo was that you have a New York in your Port. If I had to guess I would figure that there is a technical limitation that requires you to own the ship to get a camo for it.
