This just happened and it made my brain turn into a question mark inside my skull. Which is lethal, but I had time to come and post one topic before I die.

In this picture, there is a Kamikaze launching torpedoes 5.4 km away, no planes overhead and the only ship close to me is a Graf Spee. So, the new spotting distance for torpedoes is 5.4 km? I'm have not been following the updates for the past few weeks. I do not own a Graf Spee yet, so I do not know her capabilities. If there is some detail that explains this situation that I am ignorant of, please explain.

The Graf Spee probably had hydro activated.

The Spee's torpedo detection with hydro is 3.66 km I believe. Wiki says Vigilance stacks with hydro. Not sure if that is true.

Only thing I can think about is hydro, or some very improbable scenario like the torps being launched from far behind the DD and previously spotted by aircraft but you realizing just in that moment as appeared to be launched by the kami.
