I had this issue quite some time back and assumed it was a server connectivity issue.

After the second day of waiting and trying,  I reinstalled. I'm sure there was an easier fix but my patience was wearing thin and I got a 60Mb line.

Just tried doesn't work, still unable to connect. In fact can even reinstall due to how it's broken

The update servers have DNS issues on occasion. May want to try a few different  ones [public DNS servers].

That's what I did to fix this issue when I had it.

How do I do that?

This is [edited], I'm not f*cking with my OS to fix something WG f*cked up.

Well, ok then. I didn't like that I had to do that either, but it is what it is.

Anyone who has been able to update know what dns servers they are using?   I switched to ns1.wargaming.net and it did not resolve the problem.

I tried the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and still not working for me...

If this is a dns cache issue then google will continue to cache legacy data until the ttl on the updated domain expires.

hmmm what about

dl-wows-gc.wargaming.net

If that is the host name causing the issues I see a round robin dns entry of 92.223.96.13 and 92.223.96.14.

Unfortunately, anyone not experiencing issues is would not be reading this thread so it is unlikely we could have someone with an updated game ping that hostname and see what IP address they are receiving.

Nope

From what I have seen the updater is attemping to establish a tcp/ip session with two remote addresses:

92.223.44.117 (no reverse lookup)

162.213.62.106 (sv4-v-a106.fe.core.pw) where .pw = Palau  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.pw

Keep in mind that I am testing from a system that will NOT update.

Update:  A friend in Canada just responded that he successfully updated last night.  May have a fix shortly.

Work around was to replace a handful of files pulled from the working system and dropped into my local non-working directory.  Given WGs terms of service I can not redistribute their files.   :-(

For the record, I still have issues with the updater but by manually integrating the new files was able to bypass the launcher.

Still cannot update. I wrote a ticket under support but no response.

How did you get the files from a working system to bypass updater?
