Concealment and Distance

I was wondering how concealment works. How can you figure out the distance you can be spotted from? Is there a way to gauge it?

From Port look at concealment. 

Dynamic in-game concealment:

Hold control and mouse over ship icon lower left,(may need to left click).

It will show a lot of usefull info.

While you are in port go to the right side bars of stats for what ever ship you want to know about .  Clicking on a stat will open a drop down which will tell you information about it pertaining to that ship .

  In this under Concealment it will show you in Kilometers your detection range ( when an enemy can spot you if nothing is in between you and them and if they are not using radar or sonar ) by ships and planes .

While in a match you can also just press and hold the h key to show concealment and concealment when firing.

The in game minimap at the bottom right of the screen also has settings that allows you to toggle detectability, aa detectability, aa range, secondary range and  last known position of enemy ships. You can set these to be permanently on which is useful if you change ships often.
