Hello, I'm considering getting some premium ships. I am leaning towards Tirpitz and Dunkerque. However which grouping do you think would be most profitable/fun in game?

- Tirpitz and Dunkerque

-Scharnhorst and Dunkerque

Or - Warspite and Dunkerque?

What kind of gameplay do you want? Each of these ships excel in certain situations where others don't.

I'm good enough to adapt to the play styles of each of these ships. I'm more concerned about which ships can make me the most credits.

Then my suggestion will be with the others, Tirpitz because free exp and credits, Scharnhorst with incredibly favorable mm. The Frenchy is not worth it.

Get Scharnhorst without a doubt. Very favorable matchmaking, beautiful ship, fun guns, great secondaries and torps. Its a fantastic hybrid of BB and CA gameplay. She's a blast.

Other than that? I don't have the Dunkerque but she looks like a ton of fun as a 'different' and very unique ship. I'll probably buy her at some point. The Tirp is fun, but suffers in Tier 10 matches. Instead of the Tirp I would grind up to the Bismarck and enjoy those glorious 10km secondaries.

The Warspite looks great, but the horrid turret rotation on the guns has kind of persuaded me against it. Then again, I'm spoiled by all the German BBs i play. Plus, she is a very special and awesome ship with a cool history. You would do well to pick her up.

The Tirpitz is gonna be your best bet for a credit earner. But all are fun ships. The KM BBs are gonna be the most versatile (especially the Scharnhorst). The Warspite is the most "run of the mill" of the 4, and while still great, I think it has lost its place a bit with the arrival of the KM BBs. The Dunk is the "worst" of them, but still fun and probably the most unique.

Don't think Dunkek is worth it though.

But she is so hawt

French Battleship for sale; only dropped once...

Seriously; Dunkerque is like Warspite in that if you can set yourself up well she can be a monster. She's better than Warspite in that she has faster loading guns, and the arrangement makes for awesomely tight dispersion when firing inside nice arc across the bow.

Have to run away? If you can angle and back up you can make salty tears flow. Even when running directly away, it's not hard to get the guns on, and that forest of secondaries on the stern can create serious annoyance in the driver of a pursuing destroyer.

Make no mistake, the other suggested ships are good, but I do like my DQ.

She can't overmatch any BB, gets overmatched, and only has 2 turrets (that aren't particularly well armored by BB standards) so you stand a good chance of losing 50% firepower when bow-on against a BB.

Then blame my 'talent' (for lack of a better term,) or if nothing else, 'luck,' with bad ships.

Have I been stomped in DQ? Certainly, but I've also had great games in it.

I bought my buddy a Scharn for Christmas.

I figured most bang for the buck.

Good matchmaking

Good brawler

Good armor

Fast.

Good for peeps who like to mix it up at close quarters.

Like my bro

I've had great games in the Danae. Is it a decent ship?

The Dunkerque is a very fun ship, no back turrets to babysit, and high velocity shells means no one can dodge, and she's a very affordable ship.  She does however require a tactically minded captain who will not let her vulnerable sides be exposed to Battleship shells, but at tier 6, she has unfavorable matchmaking.  Nevertheless, even bottom tier, her high speed and high speed 13" shells means she's still a terror to any cruiser and she can pick on most destroyers as well.  Is she a bad ship?  No, but I recommend getting some experience with some Battlecruisers first, otherwise she can hit the bottom of the sea pretty quickly.

From my point of view, yes.

I liked all the low tier RN cruisers except Caledon, and I still have and use my Emerald, love the heck out of the torp spread or blob it can put out when it needs to.

Of those selection I'd say Scharnhorst and Dunkeke.

Scharnhorst is a unique ship, she's an oversized CA with BB armor.  Dunkeke is a Tier VI Iowa in playstyle.

Warspite has lost her luster with the current MM.  Tirpitz?  I love my Tirpitz but you can get a non-torpedo, superior secondaries version for free with Tier VIII Bismarck.
