Now you get rewarded for tanking damage?

Occupied 3/4th of the enemy team for half the entire match on my ARP Kongo. Shot down half the enemy CV's planes while only doing 30k damage and sinking a T4 German DD in the process. Ended up winning quite easily only losing me and 2 dds in the process. Then I see I'm third on the scoreboard and earned 250k credits and 3k experience. Potential damage is 1.5 million. So does WG reward battleship players for tanking damage now?

Sort of. You get rewarded for being in a position to tank damage and having people shoot at you. Only shells that near miss or bounce count towards that though. Any 0-dmg pens or shells that do damage don't count.

Yeah, and you're effectively penalized for not.  I quit playing Chapayev once I saw the RU cruiser skill I had developed for not getting shot at had now become a liability and I was losing credits because of it.

Also another reason it is hard to get a good game out of a CV.  You can go high caliber, shoot sudden a dozen planes and still be three or four down...
