Why High Tier battles might be less fun

Anyone that has grinded for T8+ ship spends a lot of time in them.  Far more time than they have spent in any single ship up to that point.  The use of the ship becomes polished and you fight on an awesome level, but get pissed that others havn't quite got there yet.  Hence the bitchiness of high tiers!

The lowbie stuff is the same great people with experience but, they are learning that ship and play at a skill level that they make errors...That's fun!  MORE FUN!  Dynamics of battle are more diverse because we rock butm haven't spent so many hours in that shipm that it's new again.  Like when we started.

IF YOU rage at high tier matches...how much fun is the game?

Actually, high tier DD gameplay is fun. Cruisers.....not as much. Not sure about BBs or CVs, because i don't have any over T8.

I just broke into Tier X this week, in my G.Kurfurst, da German BB. The comment I could make is you sort of have to consider you are playing at the Olympic levels of the game. If your opening moves are wrong... you are very fortunate indeed if you can recover. The gunnery is pretty fatal at that tier. 

 

The biggest issue you will find is the lack of coordinated team play. Fortunately you'll get one or two folks who will silently division with you. I like those... nothing but "I'm going there, appreciate some coverage" and tha's about it. Quite a good deal of fun when they get someone in a GK that intends to push and back them. 

 

And I totally agree - high-tier destroyer play is about as much fun as you can find in this game. Radar. Hydro. Scout planes. Float Planes. Torpedo Bombers. Red destroyers, cruisers and yea, even red battleships are ALL out to KILL YOUR SHIP.  It's a huge amount of fast paced, heart-pounding game play, for the individual. 

 

If however you get a lot of campers, I've come to the conclusion there are only a couple of options. Lay back and survive while you try to draw the reds towards your own team, forcing them to engage. You can actually bait red ships to chase you.  Overall tho'... I get a good deal of enjoyment from the ships themselves, as they play the way you wish all ships played in this game. :-)

I got into high tier games before I should have; as a result; I now can't stand high tier games... Entirely self-inflicted I know; but that's just the way it is...
