Re-Gifting ships?

OK, not sure where else to put this question, so if a mod knows of a sub-forum that's more appropriate, please move the thread with my compliments.

 

With all of the gift-giving and so on (which is awesome!), the thought occurred to me, what if I get a ship I don't want for some reason?  I mean, I know I can 'sell' a premium for the credit value.  But what if, speaking hypothetically, I don't want any German ships, and someone sends me a gift package which turns out to award me with a Scharnhorst?  Is it possible to give that ship to another player?  I'm not talking about getting anything back for it, just a straight-up gift.

 

I'm guessing that Niko or someone could make that happen, but I'd prefer a solution that didn't require WG employees having to do anything manually.  They're busy enough. ;)

That would open a huge can of worms. Say you want a Nikolai, I might say for a generous donation of 50.00 US, I'd be happy to gift you mine.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.  No way to police whether money changes hands "off-site".  Thanks for the confirmation.

It would also go against WG's financial interests. They want the sales. No issue there.

WG isn't likely to ever allow you to sell something you don't own....

How about gifting it to someone else? Without any transactions. (Looking at the players who like 99999 premium ships)

Especially since in this hypothetical instance we're talking about a collection of pixels that was gifted in the first place, which I simply wanted to re-direct.  But as others pointed out, there's no way to ensure that I'm not auctioning it on evilBay or something.

O.K., lets go at this from a different angle. I have 4 ARP Kongo's that I'll never play. Could I , say give them back to WoWs, without compensation, to be part of a contest prize?
