But this "hunt for Graf Spee" feel like a other Project R event. anyone else getting that feeling or just me? what is your thoughts on this?

1,455 [FOXEH] DoomStomper Beta Testers 3,985 posts 2,373 battles Report post #4 Posted December 21, 2016 It sounds a bit more straightforward than the Project R event, a few aspects of which didn't make much sense to me. Eisennagel summed it up pretty well in another thread: I am trying to understand it, as it seems there are actually two separate events doing on. 1. A campaign like the Shinonome's, where at the end of the campaign period, you earn the ship for free. The mission looks easy --- collect base XP in both random or coop, and at the end of each stage, you only have to play one random battle. Each stage is timed, and you get the ship next year January 18, 2017. 2. The ship is offered in the shop, but the bundles are staggered in a schedule. Its like the Prinz Eugen. Can't wait, got money to burn, you have to buy the most expensive package. If you are patient, the cheaper packages are gradually released over a schedule. 3. If you got the expensive package, making you a must have must get it soon whale, you can play the convoy mission immediately instead of waiting. The convoy mission is only available if you HAVE the ship. So you decide to play the campaign to get the Graf Spee free, by the time you get it at 1/18/2017, the convoy mission is practically over for you to participate in it. If you choose to get the cheaper bundles, that means you can't play the mission until you get the bundle, and that shortens the time in playing this convoy. 4. Now here's the killer. That escort campaign that REQUIRES you to have the Graf Spee, rewards you with unique camouflage for a bunch of Tier 6 ship. If you don't have that tier 6 ship --- you get it for free including port slot. You also get an extra 10 point German captain, extra camo for the **Tirpitz** and another camo for the Graf Spee. That is five Tier 6 ships, and a perma camo for a Tier 6 is a 1000 doubloon value, plus they are exclusive. With the Graf Spee, that is looks like 6000 doubloon value, and a perma camo for a Tier 8 ship runs around 3000 doubloons not to mention being an exclusive, so that's 9000 doubloon value, or at least $45 US. The convoy mission appears you can use any ship, as long as you already own the Graf Spee. Wow. (Opening my wallet, counting the change falling off from it...klink, klink, klink...) Same. Might even spring for the (supposedly $100) early adopter 'ultimate whale package', as long as most of the extra fluff is the type that can eventually be put to good use.

I'd put that more along the lines of, "With a ship so highly anticipated by so many, the price shall be set as high as the market shall bear, and it shall bear a very high price indeed." I think Graf Spee is probably the most requested, highly desired single premium ship to date.
