Disconnecting and Load Times

I frequently start the battle between 1-4 minutes after it actually begins, due to either my crappy internet or the crappy laptop that I play it on, or both. Sometimes, I also load in and then see a black screen before disconnecting. Then I have to suffer through the same atrocious 1-4 minute reload to just get back in the game, usually to see my ship already sunk or half-damaged. It's infuriating and makes me want to quit the game altogether when sometimes, more than 50% of my games are somewhat like this. Just had the last straw a few minutes ago, loaded in my Furutaka, loaded in twice just to get disconnected twice. Loaded in a third time just in time to see my ship blow up and sink to the bottom of the ocean. So my question is how can I help improve on this crappy loading time and fix the disconnecting issue? I have the graphics on medium, but on low, the game is almost unbearable to play (IMO), so any helpful advice would be appreciated.

There's also a bug where you will start in battle, but the keyboard won't respond at all.......for anything. Have had that happen to me a couple of time, latest was yesterday

Well, listing your system specs would be a good start.

Also list-note if all drivers etc are up to date.

If you have USB3.0 on your laptop, you can get an external SSD hard drive. That will help somewhat with loading but even my old laptop (which sounds newer and faster than yours), had horrible load times and sometimes dropped games.

 

Potato is going to potato. New computer has not dropped once and my ping is in the low 30-35ms.
