For me personally, mine is to get the Fletcher before the end of the year without using Free XP (about 2/3 of the way there). This is one of the ships that I've wanted since I first started playing. The history behind the Fletcher class DDs is amazing, and there are some awesome books out there. I'm currently reading "The Battle of Tassafaronga" by Russell Snydor Crenshaw Jr. It's a good read thus far and I highly recommend it. That's it. b Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That's it. b Have you read Tales From a Tin Can? it's a book with first-hand accounts from sailors on the USS Dale, a Farragut class Destroyer that was at Pearl Harbor, and lasted throughout the whole war. I am in the process of moving, so I hope to make my goal but we'll see. As for the book, I've not read that one, but I've read a few others that werent necessarily Fletcher-related, but still good DD books. It's been a long time coming... Hopefully it'll be as good as it looks. It is certainly a tough opponent.
