So I'm curious NikoPower...

Since the release of 5.15, is the average number of players up or down?  It looks like they are down.   I know I've played a LOT less and it doesn't seem to accommodate my play style anymore.

I'm wondering, in particular, about the how many times people are playing the new IJN DD lines in comparison to the other lines (not counting the premiums).  Inquiring minds want to know.

BTW, no answer tells me that the numbers are down.

Slight dip in the short term. Long term it looks growing. Trends have ups and downs. You might also have to take into account that for a majority of the US, there's finals this week and next week so any college students that play aren't likely to be on.

Edit: People also might be doing holiday stuff.

From what I have read, Wargaming.net targets an older demographic than the typical college age crowd and that the average player is in their 30's.  So I'm not sure you can claim college finals as a reason that would create a statistically significant impact..

If you want to know maybe you should message him directly instead of posting in General Discussion.

Why wouldn't everyone want to know?

True.  By the same argument, many people are doing less at work during the holidays and have more free time.  My workplace is virtually dead from now until after the New Year

This is my busiest time of the year. Never seems to be a lack of drunk drivers this time of year to get off the streets. And semis always seem to be speeding faster than normal this time of year as well on our highways.

Yeah, I can't argue with that.  I assume you are a cop.  Thank you for what you do!!!

Edit:  It took me a little while to figure out how to +1 your account.

Well, I've been playing more and enjoying it less since the last patch...

I may just move on and find a better way to spend my time and money.   I'd love a good naval game, but the devs keep pushing this deeper and deeper into twitch shooter FPS territory, not my thing at all...

It's a pity too, as the models are so bloody good.

What's your point anyway, people are playing less cause they have more choices? Most love new additions, sure some nerfs and readjustments have been made but they've been doing that since day one , so nothing to see here moving on.

Free time you spend with family and loved ones. My workplace is quiet as well this time of year and I do have more free time, I also spend that free time doing pretty much anything other than playing a silly video game. Dinner, parties, church, Christmas plays and recitals with your children, shopping, the list of things people do this time of year is endless. Stop assuming that a) everyone has free time and b) everyone is actively choosing not to play WoWs.

What a troll statement. :sceptic:

Uh, no.

My point is, what have the changes done to player base participation in general and for the IJN DD line specifically.  New additions are different than alterations of existing.  Re-adjustments are appropriate when handled fairly.  But the question relates to how do the user stats demonstrate whether those adjustments were appreciated or rejected and whether we are now seeing a skew in ship played.  Not that difficult if you actually read and think.

Casino Security officer here, nowhere near what you do but...yeah I've already seen a ramp up in intoxication from when I started a few months ago.

I'm preparing myself for New Years Day though, apparently it gets...

Crazy.

If you interpret it that way, feel free.  Companies tend to focus on the positive and try to bury the negative.  This is my notification that silence is my indication that they are not willing to discuss the issue. If they want to present facts that show I'm wrong, great for them.  They should want to encourage discussion.

You are demanding someone representing WG to answer your question and if they don't then you'll assume the worst because they didn't deign to respond. That statement reeked of entitlement at best, trolling at worst.

Well I'm state patrol, so I mainly deal with them once they're out on the roadways or investigate the accidents caused by them. But there's so much of a spike this time of year of calls for drunken fights and brawls at bars and hotels between Thanksgiving and New Years that APD and the other departments and counties in my jurisdiction just can't respond to them all. So their dispatch ends up outsourcing them to us. I normally run a 12 hour patrol, but this time of year it ends up being closer to 14 hours due to the increase in calls and extra paperwork. And that's not even counting the extra duty I pull on my days off working traffic for churches and school functions to make extra money for the holiday season. And my wife is in the same boat. She's DNR(wildlife trooper) and ends up working longer hours as well due to hunting season.

From my experience in wot where they've done splits like this dozens of times people grumble at first then they start finding new ways to exploit/employ the new ship attributes, fairly simple adjustment reactions you see this in everyday life no drama, no need for a crisis alert. The devs have a right to make as many changes as they see fit to maintain/change game balance, you seem to suggest that some changes were unfair perhaps you should read the EULA first and then explain the unfairness here.

You are correct.  I've payed for Premium for four years from Tanks through Warplanes and on to Warships.  It's called accountability.  Only an id10t pays money and expects no return or accountability.  If I was a free player, I'd agree with you that I have no basis for complaint.
