  So I start this game in my Nurenberg and as I'm getting closer to a capping circle this Indy bangs into me and continues to be obnoxious for whatever ails him, so I use this old DD trick I fire this salvo at 1-200 meters off his portside, I knew the buzzers will give him a shock and torps will pass harmlessly underneath (too early to arm ) but this time they just disappear and I see a round yellow circle envelop the Indy, damit you've done it this time I thought to myself, but there in the blue was the Indy safe and confused and my torps were gone! WTH I thought could this be the famous magnetic torps the Deutchies were working on that explode under the keel or was it something else!

Yeah, the torps don't pass underneath they just "bounce" off the hull.  I mistakenly torped a division mate at ultra close range (I thought he was breaking to starboard as I turned to port entering a cap zone) and luckily they did not arm but did hit him.

I torped a friendly DD in my Murmansk when he came at me head on ... course I was looking towards my rear and didn't see him,when I launched my Torps he was like 20' off my Port side, it looked like all 3 Torps landed right on top of him.. all 3 hit and he blew up .. me pink ... they must arm immediately clearing boat

If you look at the torpedo aiming wedge, there is a gap between it and your ship, it wont arm until it reaches the green area of your wedge, usually about .2 km.
