"Unable to connect to update service" What?

I was trying to download the PTS and it's giving me a "Can't connect to update service" message. What do I do to fix this, or do I have to sit on my hands?

Did you read the announcement of the PTS which includes the start date of the test server? Or check one the the dozen other recent post on this same question in the forum?

Well I figured that I would be able to download the patch before the PT actually started, but I guess not?

The PT is generally available for download the day before it's playable.

Well, I'm playing the live server right now with 55ms ping, so I doubt it.

I downloaded the update and now its all messed. I log in and get to my port and it stops working. I tried to fix it with the deal on game client and it still won't work. I even tried downloading the whole game and it still won't work what's the deal.
