It's pretty simple: Get rid of it.

 

It's a skill that's considered 'must have' for carriers and any carrier without it is at an extreme disadvantage compared to one that does, and any skill that is considered 'must have' for a class to be effective is a skill that needs rebalancing.

Amen. The breath of fresh air that was the equipment module rework has not come to Captain skills yet. Thankfully, WG ARE working on it.

Since when has AS be a must have? Well, I suppose it is for those of us that otherwise suck at the class but the really good CV players avoid it as it limits their damage output. Without it the lesser CV players would be nothing but targets.

No, I'm talking about the Captain skill that adds a plane to every squad you have. I'm in an Essex and was up against an essex with it, and we had the same planes and loadout, but he wiped the floor with my fighters because he had that one extra plane in his fighter squads.

 

Hell, another match, same situation, but my fighters were fighting his over a friendly Missouri and I STILL lost to his squad.

This skill makes the Saipan so ridiculously good that I don't think they even thought about it when putting the ship in.

And this skill on an IJN AS CV makes it put out more fighters than a USN AS CV of the same tier while still having the tools to deal damage.
