Is it the 404 page on the website? Is it the 'submarine' qualification for Chiyaya Gunzou and Iona? Both of those are old news, and no indication that there are, or ever will be, subs in the game. I sure hope not.

Yeah the Arp captains are there as a placeholder and as the fact they were on that ship in the anime

Is it the tier 11 ARP I-401 in the extended tech tree? We know about that little gag as well.

Salty battleship players who sail in straight lines like to accuse IJN destroyers of being submarines. Maybe he means that.

Saw it a couple days ago.  A shipwrecked sub on one of the maps.

Next time, I'll take a screen-shot...   anyone else have it?

Straight  from the developers " there will never be submarines in WOW". They should have new players sign a contract when they download the game that you won't even mention them.

They've since changed that response to. "We're looking into it"

Granted that's coming from a SEA dev, but still. It's something from up top.

Why would anyone be AGAINST having Submarines/U Boats added into the game? Do you know how much added fun and competitive that would be. Plus if not, then its not realistic, which I've always contended. Why wouldn't a Naval game, not have subs in it?

And WG would NEVER EVER lie or even stretch the truth. Please. I came from WOT a while ago. BSing and deceiving us is SOP for WG. Not saying there will be subs, but never say never with WG.

Because submarines did not operate in naval fleet actions. They were too slow. They would have to be buffed to a tremendously unbelievable degree to be competitive.

This is why they ruined NavyFIELD.

any ship in the game can be a submarine once per match and is as much good at that point as normal subs would be.

First off, WoWs has little to do with history. Second, German subs were used to protect and support surface ships quite often. They were pre-positioned at strategic locations to intercept Allied ships that tried to avoid surface raiders..

I'd love it if WG put an Easter Egg in the game where if you clicked sonar at a specific point on a specific map you'd get a message that said: "Strange anomaly detected underwater. Man the depth charges!"

US subs Gato Class, top speed 9 knots submerged. German subs Type VII, top speed 7.6 knots submerged. Sound like fun now?
