During the day game play is usually better...but of COURSE in the evening when I actually have some time to play it sucks almost all the time now. Low FPS, high ping, constant lag...I want compensated for all the times I get spawned surrounded by enemies, or half way through a match with a lot of my team dead. It's not my computer. It's not my internet connection...it just isn't. Like I said sometimes I start quick before other players, but this is getting ridiculous, I lose more now than I ever did and the losses are adding up....I like the game but not that much to put up with this. I can't be the only one... Edited December 11, 2016 by FitsHeSits

It's what happens when you lease the cheapest servers you can, and buy the lowest priced data package to handle it all.

And I'll go one step further. It's actually Telia.net which WG hired to do all their all their infrastructuer AKA routers, backbone, wiring. Because let me tell ya something. Servers have almost ZERO to do with packetloss. And I can tell you right now, WG actually has pretty damn good servers. Too many people confuse servers with the actual infrastructure when it comes to lag, packet loss etc. You are half right. But the issue isn't with WG's servers. It's the route TO the servers that's the issue. And I know it's not on my ISP side, otherwise any game I play would have massive lagspikes(though SWTOR these days are having issues). I play from EU on NA and i get no lag or long loading times Might be your hardware or internet but if you have a good pc and internet do a fresh reinstall of the game , if that dosen't work try a pc drivers update and a virus scan If that dosen't work it's your pc/internet for sure

They have the same issue with Level 3, which handles half their data as well. There's only one common denominator as you folks like to say: the servers. The data plans are horrible, yes. But they also lease the oldest, antiquated pieces of crapon the planet. Saying that has nothing to do with it is like saying trying to run this game on a 9600 GT wide open has nothing to do with poor performance.

My ping and load times are great as usual but I will have momentary game stutters where ships will skip across the screen to catch up to where they should be. Needless to say it makes hitting your target rather difficult.
5,912 [CNO] Soshi_Sone Members 7,450 posts 23,087 battles Report post #17 Posted December 11, 2016 I have bad lag. It's my connection. I know it, and it will soon be fixed. I've discovered that DD is the worst to play with lag. Not only do you need a lag-free connection to maneuver in general, I've noticed both the torp aiming cone and the torp launch itself creates a data spike. If your connection is on the threshold, simply bringing up the torp cone will result in lag freeze. Because of this, I cannot play DDs until my lag is fixed. It's nigh impossible, and extremely frustrating. Although lag does cause issues in my BB and CA play, I can live with it. I miss several shots a game due to it, but my play does not suffer significantly.

It is the local system the player is on or the fact the computer the player is using is under spec. I have been playing for more than a year now and maybe suffered from lag 3 or 4 times. You can have the fastest servers in the world if the local system you are on is slow you will have user problems. On the NA server I have noticed if any major storms occur in the US disconnects go up this is not WG fault the Net becomes unstable from over use or damage to the system. It's not even that, you can have the fastest processing servers and PCs in the world, but there's only so much throughput a router and a copper connection can put out. Cause lets face it, most of the USA is still working on coaxial or CAT type copper cables. The infrastructure simply can't keep up with the higher end modems and PCs(yes this includes servers too since they are simply PCs on steroids). Till fiber optic cables seriously replace the infrastructure as a whole, packetloss will continue to be a MAJOR problem. But in my area Google Fiber has FINALLY started to come in, and the second it becomes available in my neck of the woods I'm running screaming to it.

Sure most of the backbones inside of companies these days are fiber, but most of the land lines these days still going across the USA, still copper buddy. Keep trying through, it's hysterical at this point how wrong you are.
