Spinning Sinking Ships, Is it dumb ridiculous and unrealistic?

Sinking Spinning Ship; development team will fix this when, this year, next?

  1. 1. Should Warships keep the new spinning ships as they sink even if it is a bug?

pointless poll is pointless

the ships aren't supposed to spin as they sink. that's a known bug that they're working on fixing.

now unbunch your panties and go point your "realism" somewhere else.

There is a serious lack of bacon in this poll.

Got any to spare?

I've seen ships doing horizontal and vertical spins. It's hilarious when you're just cruising along and suddenly in the corner of your screen, you notice a ship messing around with physics.

Its a bug, BUT, there were reports of some ships that had taken damage on one side and where sinking and flipping, only to take torps or gunnery hits on the other side that let in SO much more water that the ship righted its self before flipping the other way.

It's NOT a bug.  But it's arcade action at its finest.

I get the impression from the patch notes that it's coded but the chances of spinning and leaping have been reduced.

Physics Model

Improved the physics model for destroyed ships. We significantly lowered the probability of the following events happening in the game:

  • Destroyed ships “leaping” out of water.
  • Incorrect behavior when several ships are destroyed in the same place.
  • Small ships twitching when they were destroyed by ramming.
  • Rotation of the ship's wreck when she was destroyed while maneuvering.

I have never encountered this glitch. Ever.

My understanding of this was the rotation was supposed to have been FIXED by the patch... I've seen it more after the patch than I ever did before...

Very disappointing to say that I have just learned I'd forgotten to reset the replay line in my preferences xml file.

Last night in Gneisenau I boneheadedly drove straight in to a full broadside of torps from a Nicholas and died.  I dropped my mouse and stared, not believing what a dumb move I'd just made when much to my delight the ship shuddered - mid-sink - spun 360° horizontally, then flipped 90° vertically, bow down, spun another 360° horizontally and plunged into the depths like a brick.

I really, really wanted to put the clip in a loop, overlay some oontz oontz and make a short video out of it.

my Dunkerque sinking looks like my bag when I accidentally dropped it down the stairs.

It should be removed but other things out there need more of a priority than this

I think it should be left in but the chance of it happening should be very low. It is a bug but it just screams Elder Scrolls to me. Those games are notorious for hilarious glitches that the developers left in or put there on purpose because they where hilarious. I don't mind either way but there has been a few times where i'm a bit irked at how i died or whatever reason and it happens and all I can do is chuckle to myself and I feel better.

Really?  I cannot believe the programming staff has nothing better to do than this crazy stuff.  Why not spend the time fixing the real bugs and maybe upgrading to 64 bit.
