Woke up this morning and the house was 30% humidity, which is way too dry but also too dry given I have a house humidifier.

Do some checking. Voltage is good. Valve off up main is open and seems okay. But no water coming out. Solenoid valve stuck?

My father-in-law has been doing heating and cooling for over 40 years. So I ask him, replace the solenoid valve?

"Sometimes after a long summer of sitting, they get a little crud built up. Try lightly tapping it with the handle of a screw driver."

Some people call it percussive maintenance. Others call it impact calibration. I've always called it an "engineer's tap".

Any way you call it, hitting it with a hammer (gently) worked.

I find sometimes you just need to drop kick things that arent working. Doesnt always fix it but I usually feel better.

I remember those days when tube TV was still there.... When TV showed weird picture you will just slap on top of it and everything went well again :teethhappy:

If it jams .... force it .... If it breaks .... It needed replacing anyway :yes_cap:

I have an old tube at my house still. It's slowly dying a painful death and it cuts off half of the screen since it's comparatively tiny, but it still works.

Like the Scottish Beach Master said on Sword Beach in 'The Longest Day,' when the Bren Gun Carrier was stalled on the beach; (approx 3:00 time stamp.)

30% humidity? try 0-3% humidity in Arizona, with a average temp of 90-100 degree

Was that Sean Connery holding the LMG at 3:30 calling the bearded guy "a hell of a man"?

If it doesn't fit, don't force it - just use a bigger hammer!
