154 [TNG] Synpax Members 188 posts 18,070 battles Report post #1 Posted December 10, 2016 (edited) So, I've been playing against almost entirely random people my entire time in WoWs. I recently ventured into a flea market and made an incredible discovery. Someone was selling an old game system from 1972. Something called an ATARI. Wow. But then -- and this is when I crapmy pants -- the guy selling it invited me to PLAY A GAME AGAINST HIM. I had to have him explain this too me. No, I wouldn't have play a random opponent, but I would be playing him personally. The game was one I was unfamiliar with -- Pong -- and we played for at least an hour. The game itself was basic but the enjoyment of playing against the guy sitting next to me was truly sublime! And I bring this up because, perhaps, the developers at WoWS could perhaps aquire one of these ancient systems and perhaps reverse engineer the code so they may learn how to bring this REVOLUTIONARY FEATURE to WoWs - just imagine - being able to play against other people of your choice or with other people on your team that you choose. **** That and ensuring the anti-aircraft guns on the tier III Japanese Destroyer are in exactly the right position per the historical schematics. But maybe, just maybe, they can squeeze this in. Content moderated by JayStark02 Edited December 10, 2016 by JayStark02

That said, it would be hilarious to see forumites duel each other and stream it.

I'm not sure if they have time, though, since their busy with the very important work of creating Anime-versions of existing ships for Weebos to jerk off to. That and ensuring the anti-aircraft guns on the tier III Japanese Destroyer are in exactly the right position per the historical schematics. But maybe, just maybe, they can squeeze this in. There was this naval game from like, 10 years ago, where, you could do just that. It was a pretty good game, simple graphics like Pong. It was called NavyField. Oddly enough, you know what happened when players were allowed to choose their teammates and opponents? It was great fun. The guy who asked others to play put all the better ships, clan players, etc. on his own team, probably just because they were all such swell people. I seriously doubt it had anything to do with the winners getting 50% more credits and XP. Being the highest player on the team, and matching my New Mexico against their highest player in a Yamato was an awesome experience, (but hey, at least I had Colorado turrets mounted) as was the other team having all 3 Kitakamis. When you had a good host, one who was honest and fair? Why, you got pretty similar results to what the automated MM does here! Go back to Pong. You obviously can't think past that, to what happens in a game with persistent rewards when players are allowed to pick their own teams. There was less griefing back then You realise griefing was born the first time somebody tried to play Pong with their friend, and their little brother danced in front of the screen, shouting the theme from Flintstones..... Of course, we had better tools to deal with it back then, most matches had an admin in-house, and if not, dad's worksocks made effective restraints!
