Free paint all used up forced to spend gold on paint

Last update I never ran in to this problem. If I ran out of the free paint that came in the containers then it would just not put paint back on my ship, but now it forced the buying of paint. I didn't catch on tell after 4 matchs so now I'm out 200. Not That its a large amount but for players that don't have much gold and save it to remove equipment it will hurt them.

I will let you know that I was not going back to port each match and was hitting the keep fighting button.

Not sure if you people know this but if you didn't then here is your heads up.

There is a choice to on/off auto resupply. And there is also a choice to to use credit/doubloons for resupply, if available

The camo he selected is not purchasable with credits. He unintentionally purchased new camo because of the auto-supply system not taking into account that his stockpile of camo ran out.

You forgot to toggle auto-resupply off.  You can talk to support about it; if your yearly exceptions haven't run out then they'll refund it.

This right here.

Like I stated before that before the update this never happened to me. If the stockpile ran out it would just not put paint on my ship and leave it blank tell I picked. I don't go back to port that often and how know if I was running out of paint was just loading into the next match and see it was a blank ship.

Thank you for point this out and I'm sorry I didn't state it before. I have always had my auto-resupply toggled on when using a stock-pile of paint that was free for containers. The game was coded to stop the auto-resupply from free paint when it ran out. Now that code has been removed or is broken.

Also thanks for the heads up about support.

It's obnoxious, but it has worked this way in previous updates. It's likely that the paint you were using before wasn't available for purchase at that time.

OP had resupply enabled, and the checkbox for 'using currency if unavailable' checked. Had he had resupply enabled and the checkbox not checked, the stock would've been used up and no gold would've been spent. I'm demonstrating on a credit camouflage since I'm not going to buy a gold camouflage just for this post, and it doesn't matter whether it's a gold or credit camouflage. Be aware of your checkboxes. So it's not a case of ...

the auto-supply system not taking into account that his stockpile of camo ran out

... but he himself not taking into account that having 'resupply using in-game currency if unavailable' checked means that the camo is going to be resupplied using in-game currency, if the stock is used up.

Right, the OP was using auto-resupply. Because of being caught out like that in WoWP when using some premium ammo I had I do it manually which gives me better control. Why use experience camo on an elited ship or something like that?

It did not break.  You forgot to uncheck "Resupply using in-game currency if unavailable."

Been burned by this 'Working as intended' rip-off myself.

How hard would it be to have a confirmation box pop up when a free supply runs out and the game is about to start drawing from Doubloons? (or credits for that matter)

Having to manually put on stuff for each battle just to avoid getting ripped off is a giant pain in the neck.

So, just enable auto resupply but uncheck the checkbox for 'using in-game currency if unavailable', and your stockpile will get used up and when they're all used it'll not use your gold.

How hard is that?

There's a check box beside the auto resupply 'switch' so that you can auto-resupply only until you run out without having it buy more automatically.

It is not removed or broken. You have to select whether to purchase, or not, if stock runs out. Just uncheck the 'resupply using in-game currency' or so option and it will only use what you have and stops when it runs out

Hence why I don't auto resupply anything that I either A) Don't have a metric ton of, B) Isn't already paid for and permanent, or C) Am not willing to spend for. I also never click to battle on. I switch ships every battle, so I always go back to port.

I don't see this 'resupply using ingame currency' option that several people have mentioned.  I don't see such a checkbox in Settings or next to the enable autosupply buttons.
