No, this was not my actual thought process during the match.  I tried torpedoing the Colorado once I passed him and the CV blew up my torpedo tubes with 0.1 seconds left on the reload timer.

I have all of one. A Fubuki missed my Baltimore with its torpedoes, so it decided to become the torpedo.

Yeah that's part of the reason why I chose this one over any number of failed rams.  To subtly prove that torpedo soup isn't actually a threat to BBs, at least not as great of one as it's perceived to be.  It's very annoying because you can't do much about it, but not terribly dangerous if there isn't some intelligence to the torp walls.

Here is the last one I got . And it puzzles me . How does a Hatsuharu (11,700 base HP) ram a Fubuki (12,900 base HP) and live ?

:amazed:

Can't watch it rn, but I got one with a Tachibana (7k hp), if you hit a slow moving or stopped ship at full speed it will do significantly more damage to them than you. If you hit each other at low speeds and grind each other it will do only a little damage to each of you at a time and so if you have more hp you might sink them first. The full HP transfer only happens in collisions where both ships are moving at or near max speed in different directions.

This is probably what happened . I sort of hip bumped him and I was going full speed .I will have to look at the replay again to be sure but I think he was not going full speed . Thank you for the explanation as it did have me puzzled .

Funny thing about ramming, though. I was in this battle with my Tirpitz a few days ago. Everyone died, so it was 4v1. The 4th ship quickly died to some torps from a teammate, who goes "It's Just a Flesh Wound". So it was 3v1. I ended up killing a DD and a CA, but I didn't have too much health to confidently show my side to torp this last Colorado. The details.

In the heat of the moment, I thought that if I rammed him instead, we'd win the game because we would have the most points (barely). I even thought it would get Die Hard because the game would end after he died! But I didn't know that ALL ships dying meant an automatic draw.

So yes, ramming there costed me Solo Warrior lol

Shouldn't you ram something smaller for a die hard?  Wait...maybe you're using those ramming flags...

There is also a ramming flag that reduces ram damage.

Yes but I was not using one .

Who was I supposed to ram instead, the Fiji?  Every other ship there was either tied for speed or faster than me and further to boot, not to mention that going after one of them means turning broadside to the Scharnhorst.

At any rate, I wasn't intending to ram in this situation to begin with; read the OP.  I just made myself look as inept at ramming as Shingo Shoji because I was being a jerk a few matches earlier.

You're a BB, wait for them to approach you then thrust forward.  Or just aim at their guns.  Permanently decommission them all and watch as they utilize their last option.

Got one in my Nikolai. Only one i need too.

Was going against a DD and was getting really close to him. I was so close to him when he launched his torps that my bow just ate them since they couldn't arm, gobbled him right up. NOm nom nom. Chat was funny.
