Getting quad cits through their bows is fun. So is smoking them out with nearly 6km of hydro. And did I mention you have torpedoes and they don't? You must be using some version of the Hipper I've never seen in game before. The one I typically see has trouble hitting my Belfast at range, especially when I'm using the great rudder shift to full effect. Hippers do burn just as nice as all other targets. I will say that. While sailing it I've enjoyed deleting a few DDs at close range that I wouldn't have been able to do in any of my other ships. For me, at least, it's been more capable of hitting DDs at greater distances than my beloved Atlanta. However, when a DD sneaks up on it or, for that matter, any other enemy ships see it, it takes a beating in a hurry. Focus fire renders the Belfast toast, though, and if you're far enough away to avoid focus fire you're effectiveness is severely limited. I like it a lot and I'm not saying it's a bad ship, but unless you're a DD player who frequently has a tough time with it, I don't know why many claim the Belfast is OP.
