Final Stretch towards the Takao

I'm on the last mission to get the Takao. I'm already 12,806 XP into the mission. Any ways I can get home free before the 30th? If there are, I'd appreciate them. Thanks, and always, good luck and fair seas!

There are certain things that will give you more exp than others, things like capping, team play, (tanking, etc.) and targeting DDs instead of BBs, could help. Also, I'm not entirely sure, but winning should give you a significant amount more than losing, so try playing in ships that can have a larger impact on the outcome of the game.

Arizona has been my go-to ship so far.

Also helps in training up the new Seagal captain with better ExM and Loader specs.  Faster turrets and faster HE/AP swapping.

Raking in 10K captain XP with a win using dragon flags, and 1.5K towards Takao.  Got him up to 11 points so far, and it's only been a couple days.

..

But I like accomplishing two tasks at once.

Does winning affect the base exp? As far as I'm aware, winning or losing doesn't change your base exp, only what you do before the game is over, because, remember, the ARP Takao mission requires base exp, not just exp.

I'd imagine it does. This is why having an amazing losing game can still place you below third place on the enemy team's numbers.

I just had a game in my CO where I got third on my team with 1,000 base XP. At this rate, I need to have 17 more of those games between now and the 30th.

You should be fine if you average around 1000 base exp per game. Heck, even at 500 average base exp, you'd still be fine, it would just take more games to complete.

I think it does show true base exp, because I do recall looking at the Takao mission right after completing a stage and playing another game a couple of times, and my exp count for the mission was the exact same number as what the team score tab showed at the end of the previous game.

Play the highest tier ship that you have that you can play well in.

 

Higher tiers net more base exp.

 

Cap, kill DDs, planes and as always deal damage.

You have plenty of time. Just try to get (maybe) at least 5k basee xp  a day and not sacrifice your health, job, family, sanity, and your first born child. Trust me, it works wonders.

The Tirpitz and Bismarck are my workhorses for these sort of thongs. Finished mission last Monday, with just leisure play. Solid [edited]for XP/Credit making.

For myself tier 7-8 was where I could really earn the XP, especially with USN DDs. They offer lots of opportunities to rack up XP with capping, defending, dealing damage, scouting, etc.  Good luck, you can make it.

You can make it if you put alot of games in. (Focus on T6+ only)

 

I started less than a week ago and i'm on stage 5.

Just play a ship that you can do the most damage in and that can hang when up-tiered.

 

Doing damage to higher tier ships yields more xp and don't forget about those tasty cap points. Capping nets nice xp.

 

Really, just play, play, and play some more.

 

At over 12k in, you only need 28k to complete the task. That averages out, from today, to only 3.5k average damage per day. That is easy even if you only earn say 500 xp average per match, that's only 7 games per day, on average. With the holiday weekend coming up, you should easily be able to average that.
