Hi, im not sure how "game engines" work, or any of that, but here are some ideas to make the game a bit more SPICY! Well, its really just one idea. To make dynamic seas. Like, during storms make the waters really wavy, and actually move the ship side to side, and add wind, to make he waves, and blow the ship somewhat. I just think that would make the game sooooo much cooler and feel like you are actually driving a ship, and not some perfectly, or almost perfectly stable thing on water, :D Also, i love the game how it is! LOVE YOU DEVS! :D:D:D::D:D:D:D

Nice idea, been suggested before, unfortunately it's not possible with the current game engine.

The engine treats the ocean as a flat plane about which the ship move. The 'waves' are just a visual effect, a rippling, layered texture placed on the flat plane, and the ships bobbing up and down in the water is equally just a visual animated effect.

Unfortunately...this is just a naval "game" as opposed to a "simulator". Radar/sonar that looks through land, gun ranges for the exact same guns on the same ship being different(Bismarck/Tirpitz) and fighter strafe are just a few of the things that make no sense at all but are here for "game balance", for "fun" or because the game engine cant handle a change. In any kind of rough seas, the smaller the ship the less accurate the guns should be...but the game engine cant do it. Look at the disaster that is World of Warplanes for a perfect example of what this game engine cant do.

I like the rare squalls that are in some of the battle.  Kinda gives the experience a touch of reality. However in terms of it affecting the navigation of the ship it would be interesting how they can achieve affecting a captain's ability to maneuver through it.  As it has been mentioned the development of such an experience would be tremendous.  But for some reason the USS Pueblo (AGER-2) leaps to mind. Dunno why, tho'.
