Why are service costs higher then victory rewards at higher tiers??
I am actually loosing credits to win, how the hell does that work?  In order for me to progress I have to play Tier 1-3 ish ships which make a lot of credits and are cheap to fix.

If I am winning matches 3/4's of the time or something like that, credits shouldn't be low and grinding lower tier ships to buy upgrades shouldn't be a requirement to progress.

Yes I play a DD mostly, and it is a support role a lot of the time. So no, I am not regularly  doing big damage.   Is this how you calculate victory winnings?

Don't know about you, but even before I bought the permanent camo for my Yamato, I was raking in a decent profit. Sure I would have to play some tier 8 to offset the losses, but with the economy rebalance, tier 10s have been making more credits than ever

Non-premium accounts tend to lose money on matches above T8-T9. This was true both before and after the economy change. It's part of their F2P model -- you either play for free and treat high tier as a luxury, or you get premium and do what you want. Premium accounts can break at T10 most of the time, although bad games will still cost you.

DD's are insanely expensive to run a high tiers.  I had a 10% repair flag and lived thru the battle with about 60% damage on me and it still cost a buttload for repair.

It sounds like you are fighting in the wrong locations on the map.

All ships at the same tier now cost the same. It's like an entry fee for the battle.

What is military month contributer? I see extra for that.

It's a bonus from a flag that was given out as a bonus one month, earlier this year.

Seems to me that DD's might be more so disadvantaged from what I am seeing.  My Primary DD is the Fubuki (T8).  That thing is a money sink unless I have a particularity good game.

As per, "you are playing in the wrong area of the map", DD is a support role, especially so at higher tiers where BB's have a lot of defense mechanisms.  It is often more helpful to focus on spotting/smoking.  That being said, I don't like the IDN DD's at higher tiers, they are so out gunned by other DD's in terms of torps and artillery.  That 15km range is not useful.

Challenges are good and fun.  I actually really enjoy playing the game during events like Halloween.  Very fun, the rest of the time it feels grindy and P2W.

It doesn't have to be. The other day I had a very bad battle in Montana. I did 11k damage.. got torp'd to death. That was it. Still made 25k. Why? I have camo.

Premium account + camo + flag

Usually I average 150k profit in it.. assuming I get sunk, as I usually do : /

It is a special and most useful flag out right now. It was awarded as completing a month long mission back in May of this year, http://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/military-appreciation-month-2016/ , This flag gives the player +5% to credits, XP, and Captain XP earned in a battle. Don't know if WG will bring it back as it provides some decent bonuses. The only real complaint of the flag is it's design due to the way the American Flag is portrayed on it.
