Somewhere around there. Its the total ratio of your compliments/reports received. As of right now, as far as i can tell, this number is nothing but that. A number. It really doesn't do anything but sit there and taunt people into trying to get it higher. So my question (1) is: What does Karma do currently? Just in case I'm stupid and not seeing something obvious here. If the answer to 1 was "Nothing", then read on. My proposal here is that the higher the Karma number, a certain "bonus" is applied to credit (Not EXP) gains from a battle. My suggested bonus rates are as follows: 0-3: 0% 3-6: 5% 7-12: 10% 13-20: 15% 21-30: 20% 31+ : 25% Those rates could go on for longer if you wanted them to. The point here is that having a high karma will also positively impact the player's economic growth, just nudging them along. This multiplier does NOT outweigh people with crappy Karma but with premium account time or in a premium ship. Its about half of that. That way, well-behaved/performing players will still have a reward for their actions instead of just a number, and people who are willing to spend money are not screwed over by other people getting for free the same thing they paid real money for. Now, the likely case here is that I'm just plain blind and not seeing something obvious about this topic. If that's the case, then just feel free mercilessly mock me. If its not, then tell me what you think. Any changes or edits that should be done? Modify the bonus rates? Anything? Gaining or losing karma says something about how the game population thinks of your gameplay and interactions with the team and I would rather have it that way rather than it be corrupted. And yes I do understand people like popular streamers, reviewers, and or infamous individuals may skew the system but there are always exceptions. For that, my thinking here is that there are several options to combat this: 1.) Reduce daily reports/Compliments 2.) Edit the way the system works. Every 7 compliments or so will be what earns you a Karma point. This way, people who spam compliments to friends will take forever to make any sort of impact. More thoughts on the press. But a credit income bonus would lead to all kind of abuse

One off bonus for good karma limits the potential for abuse, and gives karma a tangible benefit.
