I'm at a crossroads, guide me.

Ive got the XP and the credits for one of these battleships and I want you opinions on the better buy here: Iowa or Bismarck

I have 15 point commanders for both nations and I really enjoy both Tirpitz and North Carolina. So for me, its a coin toss.

I can see you're no stranger to performing well, and to that end, I think the Iowa will suit you as she has a high skill ceiling.  But the ship stock is rather frustrating to grind, and even if you know everything in the world about making her perform well, sometimes things beyond your control will shaft your performance.  The Bismarck is the more enjoyable of the two to grind, with a much lower skill floor and only somewhat lower skill ceiling - what she lacks in raw firepower she more than makes up for with her survivability.  Someone who can use that armor, HP, secondaries, and hydro to their team's maximum advantage will still do very well in the Bismarck even when bottom-tier.

Voted Bismark. Since i prefer to get up close and personal with BB's (when I play them), to me NC is the crown of the US BB line. Iowa is too squishy to brawl and Montana...well, YAMATO. Nuff said.

I can't speak to the Iowa, but the Bismark is a ship I absolutely love, and it along with the Gnies (which plays differently to the Bismark) redefined my opinions of BB play. I highly recommend the Bismark as not only fun to play, but also a great well performing ship of her tier.

At the Gneis and NM. I'm going for the German line first. They just fit my play style better in terms of going into close range and wrecking things. I'm liking the American's guns at medium range tho - having more guns is nice.
