Those ships see each other on a regular basis anyway. The difference is that tier VIII can still be bottom tier. Two ways to handle this. Option 1: Players must WIN 50 T9 battles, in PvP, only. Only using a T9 ship counts. - There will also be a minimum damage dealt threshold required that WG will not announce, but it will prevent AFK players from piggybacking off a win. That will: - Restrict access to most players who do not have a T9 at all. - Restrict easy play since T9 will be the start of losing credits for those who are an average player and not using Premium Time/Flags/Permacamo to reduce operation costs. - Would take an average of 100 battles unless one had extreme luck into getting 50 victories straight. More likely, it could take in excess of over 100 battles. - Restricted to PvP, preventing "easy" grinding of Co-Op for the requirements. Option 2: Players must EITHER: WIN 50 T9 battles, in PvP, only. Only using Iowa counts. WIN 100 T9 battles, in PvE, only. Only using Iowa counts. - 2 bars to display progress, only one bar needs to be filled. - There will also be a minimum damage dealt threshold required that WG will not announce, but it will prevent AFK players from piggybacking off a win. - PvE wins required are double that of the PvP requirements so as to not seem "easier" and, keep in line with appearances of not favoring "casual players" (their perception). Though divisioned Iowas in PvE can still likely hammer out wins faster. That will: - Restrict access to players who actually have an Iowa. - Restrict easy play given T9 maintenance costs; moreso in PvE. - Take even longer to grind in PvE, but allow the 30% that purely play Co-Op a chance to get Missouri, though only if they use an Iowa. - Encourage more USN BB play (good for WG's metrics, at any rate). In both cases, that should be sufficiently tough, but doable. Granted, if WG wants to make it tougher, they could give it a time limit of weeks instead of a month or more. Or instead, those that miss out on it during the initial event have to take the hard road for it in the form of a multi-stage mission chain; such as winning 25, 50, 75, and 100 T9 PvP battles or 50, 100, 150, and 200 T9 PvE battles (similar to WoT's challenge missions for exclusive T8+ tanks, but more straightforward). 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Tier VII can be bottom tier. The issue with them being top tier so often is because of WG's decision to help tier III and IV players, which conversely made tier V ships lunch for tier VII. I would be fine with a T9 mission requirement to earn her, as I am close enough with several T8's and have enough Free XP to get me into a T9. Let's do this! Seems fair, that'll immediately exclude the majority of the playerbase and keep it out of the hands of people not experienced enough yet to use Missouri. That way it would prevent people like me from getting it. I'll be unlocking the Ibuki soon™, but I don't have any regular tech tree battleships higher than the Wyoming. I can defiantly see how it might be an issue if people who have never played BBs can get their hands on one from Tier IX. However....the greedy entitled millennial in me hopes they make it so it's accomplishable with any Tier IX or X ship so I can get my hands on a Tier IX BB with out having to work my way up a BB line... *laughs maniacally* Edited November 6, 2016 by yashma Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Trade up its stats with Iowa for a different ship flavor: trade in AA for dispersion, range for detectability, then you.... Wait, what? Whats that you say?
