less rng for BBs plz

so i am playing my german BBs, and there's this cruiser 13 km away, 

I fire a salvo, perfectly aimed, and the shells looks good, but out of 8 shells fired, 2 hit the ship for 2 over pens, while all the other shells bracket the cruiser either too far or too near.....

it was a perfectly aimed shot and if there was less RNG that salvo would hit the cruiers right in the middle of the ship 1 shot deleting it

 

this is totally unfair that BBs should be plagued with such bad shell dispersion.  so unfair that a well aimed shot should be ruined by RNG

 

as for ppl who say making BB rng better would make them OP, that is not true at all

a well aimed shot should be rewarded, not negated by RNG;  if a well aimed shot from a BB 1 shot kills a cruiers its not due to BB being OP its just due to the skill of the BB player

 

cruiser captains stop whining about how BBs are op, instead focusing on getting better and be more aware, 

less whining and more improving

 

so WG please lessen RNG for BBs!!!!!

BB dispersion is fine. Any more accuracy would be extremely unfair

 

how is it that it is fair to negate a well aimed shot by RNG just cuz cruisers cant play better?

Cruisers cannot 1-shot a Battleship.  Maybe if "Fun and Engaging" mechanics were engaged, but in any practical engagements, it's not going to happen.

Your aim nor anyone elses aim at 13 km is going to be perfect Be happy you got a hit at all much less 2.

Its to give that cruiser a chance to actually get in range, at higher tiers that BB will one shot kill a cruiser if it even sniffs 15km. Not to mention its to help prevent mods like aim bot and other nefarious tools from being possible in the game. There are things you can equip your ship to help improve your accuracy. I would like to see some "more" bb skills, that are not so -anti fun- defense skills though (Seriously +100% AAA... are you kidding me.. do you even history wargaming.. yes midways are bad.. but man...)

 

Manual secondary that pomf destroyers at the simple press of a button. Auto detect so you know when to AWSD so dds can't ambush you as easily. Scout fighters , Manual Repair, bow armor that no ship that isn't a BB can deal with... OH not to mention the turn on a dime rudder-shift that makes even the most agile of a DD jealous..

 

Why don't you battleships have a nerf or two stop giving it to everyone else yeah ?

you cant claim it was a perfectly aimed shot, you are staring at a screen. Bold texted advice for yourself

In this case:

Make Torpedos harder to dodge. If I fire a well aimed salvo at you you shouldn't be able to negate it. Type 93 Torpedo was almost invisible, so add that. 0.5km Detection range at max

Because it is remarkably easy to erase cruisers in one salvo. If you could do that every time your guns are loaded it would be insanely op. I say this as someone who plays a lot of BB...

If you sail in straight lines at constant speed for more than half a minute at a time, then...yes, they should be hard to avoid.

There has to be a trade off for balance, it's that simple. Tell you what, you can have laser like accuracy on your battleships but your shells now deal 90% less damage, how's that sound?

... of course BBs shells do a lot of dmg, they are HUGE

...and that means in order to balance them properly and account for the tremendous damage they can do, they take longer to reload in slower turning turrets and are less accurate/have a greater dispersion. If you want "less RNG" then you have to give up damage or greatly increase the reload. Again, balance.

lol a cruiser main asking for BB accuracy buffs... masochist much?

 

tbh I'm fine with BBs getting accuracy buffs as long as all my cruisers and DDs get >32mm of bow armor ;)

Get back to us when cruisers can 1-shot battleships just as easily.

If BBs get increased accuracy, it will already make cruisers worse off then they already are now. If you want to buff BB accuracy, then I also want to suggest a nerf to BB AA and a nerf to BB maneuverability. They actually have it quite easy in this game compared to the other classes, cruisers and carriers especially. You have the HP and armour to survive for long periods of time, as well as the firepower to be able to nuke any ship. Cruisers lack all of that, so why should we have to punish cruisers further?

I fire a salvo, perfectly aimed, and the shells looks good, but out of 12 shells fired, 10 hit the ship for no damage, while all the other shells bracket the battleship either too far or too near.....

it was a perfectly aimed shot and if there was less RNG that salvo would burn the battelsihp right in the middle of the ship 3 fire deleting it

 

this is totally unfair that CLs should be plagued with such bad fire chance.  so unfair that a well aimed shot should be ruined by RNG

 

as for ppl who say making HE rng better would make them OP, that is not true at all

a well aimed shot should be rewarded, not negated by RNG;  if a well aimed shot from a CL burns a battelsihp its not due to HE being OP its just due to the skill of the CL player

Battleship main here.  If u don't like RNG, move up and stop sniping from the rear.  Dispersion is fine.

This statement tells a lot about you and your understanding on how Torpedos work. Not planning to talk down on you, but if you think Torps are hard to dodge, then you should find the issue within yourself. I love to bring this picture and so I will gove it to you as well.

A simple change in rudder every now and then and you will see how most Torps miss you.
