Way to go WG Seems few if anyone is winning your holiday special.  A lot of folks are complaining in game chat that no one I have spoken to has beaten your holiday screw up.  Always close but no cigar.  The ship always stops or goes below 50% to keep the win from you.  BEST be sending a months worth of gold plated hookers to anyone who completes all the tasks.

I have only played it like 4 or 5 times and I have won about half. It can be challenging but it isn't impossible. Really requires teamwork.

Going below 50% doesn't keep the win from you..

 

The ship only stops if all players leave the circle (which should never happen) or an enemy ship enters the circle, which only really happens at the end when they attack from all sides.

 

This 'keep the win from you' is nonsense.. You have to achieve the win, the game does not act to deny you.

Played it 25-30 times.  Four wins, none with secondary objectives.  

You can still win and get the free exp even if Transylvania came to a stop or lost more than 50% of its HP. Minimal victory condition is it's still afloat, catapults are down, and the Rasputin and a requisite number of Zikasas have been sunk.

 

And if you win you just get the "Ghostbuster" token achievement.  Even if you lose you can still earn cammo paint and silver.

I played until I had a win on each ship type, and had a kill on the rasputin. Like the above posters said , communicate with your team, and it helps alot .way that's worked for me, everyone but dds stay in circle , catapults priority for the bbs and ca, and AP will pen the bases of the catapults for full damage. Ignore the bbs that show up behind you halfway thru and don't go back for them you can finish and not kill them and still get the required kills. At the end focus the Rasputin down and mopping up the bbs after is easy.

Don't need to win to get the majority of the awards.  Seems like a bit much to call the whole thing a disaster or "screw up".  Its fun and challenging.  I thought it was well done.

Played it 6 times, won it twice. You really need to div up with some friends if you want to have the best chances of winning.

The problem is as others have stated, the WIN for the primary objective can be completed. 

 

I am like 1 - 16 now.  I am just going to stop.  The mission can not be comleted in random, so i tried a division, this helps but the other players not on coms and not doing what they are told, well that kills  the win every time.

 

This is what MMORPG players call a raid.  And Raids are completed with lots of communication, leadership, and practice.

 

There is no way to complete ALL primary and secondary objectives.  It just is not possible.  Too many ships spawn right at the end.

I remember the days when games were harsh and unforgiving and, the harder it was, the more gamers persevered until they beat it, or admitted defeat. Nowadays, everyone has to win because otherwise they'd feel somehow left out, since admitting defeat is, apparently, unacceptable. So let's cry about making things easier so everyone can do it.

Maybe we should also allow the disabled to be firefighters, for the sake of fairness.

 

I've played the thing less than 10 times, won it twice. First victory was my 3rd try and, while it wasn't exactly thanks to me, we won because I got a team of people who knew what they were doing, as well as shared what they figured out.

 

If you can't beat it, it's not too difficult. You either need to get better or you need to wait for the weekend to be over so you finally get some normal players in team with you.

I think you were expecting something like the ARP missions that are easily achievable. Please contact Support for a pacifier and tissues.

 

Meanwhile the rest of us will enjoy the graphics and battles.

Done it 10 times, never won. When I play destroyers, the BBs inevitably let us down by failing to destroy catapults in a timely manner. When I play battleships, the DDs invariably kill themselves by knife-fighting the battleships at too close a range. 

 

Basically, the scenario has a very, very low tolerance threshold for potatoes... and, let's face it - the field is just full of them.

I've played a bunch, all in the Blade, and I've won twice. As has been said, it can be done, but ONLY if everybody knows their role. Its like football or rugby, play your position. But people think they know better, and then you have chaos.

My first time our team had a couple of trolls who told everyone to do exactly what you shouldn't do, starting with "Stay out of the circle".

 

The rewards are excellent even if the team doesn't win. As someone else wrote, if everyone plays their role right you can get it done. 

 

I like the fact that it's not an automatic A.

The biggest problem with this game mode is that it's a limited time event.

 

Personally I'd love it if there were scenarios like this that we could queue for all the time.

 

As for winning, I'm 0-4 but damn it's fun.

I'm done with it, finally got a win in about 10 tries.  But even when you lose, you still get stuff when objectives are met.  No idea again, why people are complaining about a mini game that gives you free stuff, no matter if you win or lose.
