Another Update! Didn't we just have a major update last week? I would actually like to play this game instead of every time I turn it on having to watch it update for 5 minutes...Jeesus enough already.

How many bugs are in this game then? If's thats your argument? What does that say about the game if they have to fix bugs every week. It's not like this game just came out.

If only they had a checkbox that you could click so the game would update at 4am when new content comes out so i wouldnt have to miss any of the action.  If i was WG i would put it in the settings cog on the launcher under a tab called updates.  maybe. just maybe.

I'll give you any premium you want if you find a major online game released in the last 5 years that doesn't patch at least every other week.

I wasn't really making an argument, just poking fun at someone complaining about patches to improve the game. But if you want me to ramble a bit...

Game developers (and any software developers in general) can have their own process or methodology to updating a product. For many, it involves three major categories. You have the overhaul or complete change of a product, making it significantly different from it's previous iteration (something goes from 1.6 -> 2.0 or 3.4 -> 4.0 etc), the major patch or update (1.30 -> 1.4, for WoWS 1.13 -> 1.14) that introduces a lot of fixes and/or new features, and the small hotfixes (1.13 -> 1.131, 2.41 -> 2.411 etc). The last update listed was 5.13 -> 5.131, and it had four small fixes. Those small patches that show up from time to time are them ironing out bugs and kinks that can be easily fixed and/or are critical bugs in the software.

All software that is even a little complex will have bugs, and most games are a wide range of moving parts, hence there are and always will be bugs. The more features you add to a game the more bugs you introduce to the program, a frequent joke among programmers is that you'll fix one bug but add three more. I would challenge you to find any mid-sized or AAA game that doesn't get patched, it's just a fact of life with software that the program will never be bug free.

All these patches and hotfixes say about the game is that they are intent on supporting and improving their product, so it speaks well about them.

"What the actual F... Steve?! Why do you continue to buy booze for every SINGLE PARTY EVER?!"

"Awww hell. I just won a million dollars but they sent it in the mail? Why couldn't Publisher's Clearing House just give me an email AND DEPOSIT IT TO MY BANK ACCOUNT like EVERYONE ELSE?!"

"Why am I even ALVE?! Waking up in the morning is such a chore..."

Bugs will be found. I'm working on, at this point, perhaps 2-decade old code, and we still have bugs and quirks in it that need to be fixed. If you're not finding bugs, you're not trying hard enough. As long as they are not show-stopping bugs, no one freaks out about them. Just patch them out, and move on.
