Igor is very important to the overall mission but you can only maximize your damage if you start fires, lots of fires so:

 

1. Load HE only
2. Start a fire on a ship
3. Switch targets
4. Start a fire on that ship
5. Switch back
6. Start a fire on that ship
7. Switch back
8. Start a fire on that ship
9. Switch back
10. You get it yet?

 

Last game - 41 fires, 124k damage, 7 kills.

you can also load AP to cut down the catapults quickly(couple salvos), but you're right it is primarily a flame thrower.

Glad someone's got it together. I've seen nothing beyond pretty graphics that makes me care one whit for the game mode so far.

AP to cleave catapults, HE for ships.

 

...I think they are the best at shooting at ships coming from behind, just burn them, they extinguish, burn them again, no effort required from the rest of team.
