What you must do to beat Halloween event.

Its not about how much you kill as a solo player.. you MUST work as a team.

1. Stay in Circle at all times..

2. Target the catapults first  (only after they are dead then focus on nearest ship) When you come up to new ones. stop shooting at ships and kill catapults first.

3. focus fire using f3 and target  the closest ship to the circle / the group

4. Do no hit or run into the Transylvania ship.

5. Do not torp your own players. (staying in the circle will help prevent this)

6 Dont worry about the ships behind u until they are all that is left.
7. DD try to use smoke to protect the escort ship.

8. communicate with each other about who is dropping smoke.

Good luck Captains !!!

DDs should also move up and destroy catapults long before trans gets into range to spawn more ships.

DDs are the worst for clearing catapults, IMO. The low range and artillery DPM means you need to get—and stay—closer than other ships. On top of that, it's much harder to shrug off a 3k boulder in a ship with only 7k max hit points. Still, if there are both catapults and ships destroyers should be shelling the catapults in between torpedo salvos at the red ships. In general, I definitely agree on the prioritization of catapults.

I also disagree with focussing fire. Multiple destroyers torpedoing the same target is a recipe for friendly damage as they jockey for a firing lane, and it also results in more wasted spreads, since it takes quite some time for the damage to arrive. Meanwhile, the cruisers have the only fire-starting capability, and it's extremely potent—spread that around! Start a fire, switch targets, switch back for the next salvo (after the first target's damage control ends), etc. Group DPM will rise sharply in such a case. It holds true for Rasputin, the final ship, as well: 200k health is a lot to chip away, especially with good armour and TDS. But keeping multiple fires and a flooding DoT ticking makes short work of that health pool.

DD's run point stay at top of circle or just ahead of it and put fish into everything that moves, and drop smoke every now and than.

Cruisers stay in circle and use AP on cats, than switch to HE and Burn everything that moves, once you have 2-3 fires going switch to a new target.

BB stay in circle use AP on cats, you can one shot them, then focus fire on low/med health ships to finish them off.

have won this event twice now and each time we had 4 ships left at the end.

I'm enjoying it greatly myself, it's working in escort mode, somethign I understand wargaming want forever, and since it's effectively co-op it makes co-op mains such as myself exceedingly happy

I'm starting to wish I could convince people to leave the circle on the final BB spawn, so we have time to clear the area before spawning Rasputin.

Only 2 ships in the circle. Too many ships in the circle will make it move too fast.

Stay out of the Zikasa (Mikasa) secondary gun range.

DDs out front spamming torps. (watch your torps) Don't forget to smoke.

BBs guns are extremely effective against catapults.

Cruisers should be firing HE at ships, AP at catapults.

Some times the DDs have to hit the catapults because they are farther ahead with a clear shot.  Wait for the BBs and nearly the entire party will have a chance to get hit before the BBs can get a shot off on them.

So far today (this after noon - 0 for 7).  Not even the camo for the 2 ships and 10K damage

0 for 9 and the game got seriously messed up on the last game I just had.  Screen flashing red - all I was missing was seeing "redrum".   Looked like I could message team, maybe....  Never done this before.  IO think we were having a good game as well. :(
