Don't u make this mistake?during switching armament

when I play german bbs which have torps (like Gnei , tirpiz) , I often press button 1 switching torps to guns so my guns which reloading AP shells change its shell type and reload again. I saw several people having same trouble in game. Besides german bbs, this inconvenience affects other ships like DDs CA all ships which have alternative armament (well BBs are more painful than others due to long reloading time.)

I hope Wgaming need to take action for alternative ways to stop this inconvenient mistake. Like individual key option for each ships, etc. Don't u think so guys?

I often do the same thing in my IJN CAs. But it only happens if you double tap 1.

Yeah. But there are now keys you can bind, new in 0.5.12 I believe it was, which switch from torpedoes to guns without altering ammunition selection. Check your keybinds and plan accordingly.

Play RN CLs and you won't have this problem

I do that all the time, where I keep accidentally switching to HE then wondering how I didn't get a cit at 3km. It drives me nuts.

 

Recently I just switched the HE and AP keys.

Just play British CLs. They have no such problem.

Just use the Key Mapping,  That way when I come off torps, I load my AP vs HE

Alternatively you can pay attention to what you're doing like IJN cruiser captains have had to do since beta.

I just take the split second to look at either which ammo I had loaded and press the right button, or look switch to which ever ammo I need now. There may be times when things can get exciting and relatively fast paced in this game, but it's not a twitch shooter by any stretch of the imagination. Just take that split second and pay attention to what you're doing.

I will admit this is a nice aspect of the RN CLs... Just tap 1 or 2 and be back to guns!

I do it in my German BB's sometimes.  Panicked, close in fighting, torps on one side, firing the main guns to the other, line up that broadside citadel shot and...  huh?  Craaaaap HE loaded
