*pictured - 1st Lieutenant Baldomero Lopez leading an attack after amphibious landing at Inchon, Korea on 09/15/1950 - he suffered fatal wounds minutes after this photograph* November 10th is a special day for a select group of brave women and men that spend 12 weeks of harsh, brutal, and painful training on Parris Island or San Diego. At the end of the 12 weeks, they become part of a unique group that are often tasked to perform the impossible and are this country's first choice to safeguard our nation. Since 1775, the United States Marine Corps has dedicated everyone that earns the title of Marine to the highest standard of courage, bravery, and determination.
