  1. I think seaplane carriers would be a vary viable addition to the game. Seaplane carriers would generally be relatively small and/or slow with large aircraft with very big HP pools, but very few aircraft per squadron and only 1-2 per attack. They would have weaker bomb and torpedo armaments, and weak/few/no fighters. Their primary armament would be very large aircraft spotting ranges and ASW planes. The best three nations to have them, is the US, Japan, and maybe Britain. US: US seaplane tenders would be slower, with planes that have very high HP pools, sometimes up to twice their aircraft carrier' counterparts HP pool, They would either have leval bombing with SAP bombs, or they would dive at a slight angle and attack with HE Ships: Hull C Langley upgrade would lead into the US seaplane tender line, switching from the pre-refit Langley to its seaplane carrier form. She would have one squadrons of NC-11 bombers, with one squadron of 4 bombers attacking in groups of 2 with each bomber carrying 4 250 SAP bombers in a level bombing capacity with 2,000 HP, and one squadron of 2 bombers, with 1 per attack with each bomber carrying 4 HE bombs, attacking in a slight dive. The bombers would have 2,250 HP She would also have one squadron of 4 SOC Seagull ASW plans, with 1,265 HP each The first Seaplane Tender would be USS Wright AV-1 at tier V She would carry 4 P2Y-1 bombers that attack in groups of 1, each plane would carry 2 1000lb SAP bombs which deal 2,220 HP each, and each bomber has a speed of 98 kts, and 2,750 HP each She would also carry 4 P2Y-1 bombers that attack in groups of 1, each plane would carry 6 250 HP bombs which deal 1,950 HP each, and each bomber has a speed of 103 kts, with 2,825 HP each She would also carry SOC-3 ASW planes with 1,500 HP each and , These can be Upgraded to OS2U-1 ASW planes with 1,750 HP each. The ship would go 15.3 kts, and have 2 5in/38 caliber DPAA guns, 2*AA 3 in/50 caliber AAA guns, 2 .50 caliber AA guns The Second Ship in the line would be the USS Curtiss, AV-4 at tier VII She would carry 4 P2Y-3 bomber is attack groups of 2, each bomber carrying 4 500 lb HE bombs dealing 3,760 HP each, each bomber has a speed of 106 kts, and 3,120 HP each. These can be upgraded to either PBY-3 bombers with either 4 1000lb HE bombs, or 4 1000lb SAP bombs, HE bombs do 4,500 HP each, the SAP bombs deal 5,250 HP damage each. She will also have PBY-3 Torpedo bombers that carry 2 Mark 8 torpedoes that deal 4,765 damage each. She also carriers 4 SC-1 Seahawk ASW bombers with 2,000 HP each She would go 20 kts and carry 4*5/38 DPAA guns and 4*4 40 mm AA guns The Third ship in line would be the tier IX AVD Childs She would carry one squadron 6 PBM-1 bombers attacking in groups of 2 carrying 2 2,000lb SAP bombs dealing 10,500 HP per hit with each plane having 6,265 HP each and a speed of 125 kts. She would carry another squadron of 6 PBM-1 bombers attacking in groups of 2 carrying 2 Mark 13 torpedoes dealing 6,500 HP per hit with each plane having 6,500 HP each and a speed of 115 kts. She also carries 6 SC-2 Seahowk ASW bombers with 2,250 HP each She goes 25 kts and carriers 2*3/50 DPAA guns and 5 20 mm AA guns as well as Depth Charges and 5 km detectibility range Please comment any suggestions that you believe to be helpful
  2. Hi all, Destroyers were always a fun ship type to play. So how about considering a new Tier 10 Premium destroyer for the US navy? Idea - I had this idea since starting from 10.0.2, USS Somers will become unavailable to obtain from the Armory for an undefined period of time. Although it will be replaced by the USS Austin, there will be no Tier 10 Premium Destroyers for US Navy. You might think that we don't even need a Tier 10 Premium destroyer for the US Navy, but in World of Warships, starting from Tier 5 (US), every tier has a premium destroyer: T5 Hill, T6 Monaghan, T7 Sims/ Sim B, T8 Kidd, T9 Benham and Black, and no T10 premium destroyer after 10.0.2 :( USS Allen M. Sumner DD-692. Ship Length - 376 feet Beam - 40 feet Draft - 15 feet Speed - 34 knots Hit Points - between 18,000 - 20,000 Armaments Main guns - Three 130mm double-barrelled guns Rate of Fire - 20 shots/minutes Reload time - 3 seconds Firing Range - between 12 - 13km Maximum HE Shell Damage - 2,200 Maximum AP Shell Damage - 2,600 AA Defence Twelfth 40mm Bofors Average damage per second - between 90 - 130 Firing Range - between 3 - 4km Eleven 20mm Oerlikon Average damage per second - between 45 - 65 Firing Range - between 2 - 3km Torpedoes Two quintuple(5) Torpedo launchers Torpedo Warhead - 533mm Rate of Fire - between 0.85 - 0.66 shots/ minutes Reload Time - between 70 - 90 seconds Firing Range - 16.5km Torpedo Speed - 66 knots Maximum Damage - 20,000 Possible Consumables Damage Control Party Smoke Generator/Hydroacoustic Search Engine Boost/ Enhanced AA Defence

    Light Cruiser Captain Build

What would be the optimum 19 point light cruiser captain build sailing US and CCCP light cruisers for PVP matches? Is PM and or LS important? The Captain is Alex O so he can sail both lines. Currently he is PT, EM, AR, DE, CE, and IFHE. Thanks in advance for your help and opinions.
  5. Its probably best if you just glance over the Underlined and bold parts. Its quite long. Plz reply and share your experiences. Hi everybody! I have been looking around at other forums and have thought that It would be a good idea to have one, big, main forum where everybody can voice their opinions (i.e. rage and complain) about the recent carrier rework. I have been getting several different opinions about what the carrier rework and hotfix has done to our warships. I have been looking around to see what kind of different opinions we have been getting about the carrier rework. From what I have currently seen, the most trouble has come from destroyers. The complaint is that aircraft spotting is too good, and that they are permaspotted and shelled by everything in the vicinity. The same can be said about scout cruisers, which lack the AA defense to repel concentrated air attack, and who cannot output enough damage to repel the hail of fire that the rest of the battle fleet will throw at it. This also does not allow it to spot other targets, voiding its purpose. Light and Heavy cruisers can output a substantial amount of AA firepower, but only the most powerful light cruisers and the most AA oriented heavy cruisers to repel a concentrated air attack. Under constant attack from my fully maxed Lexington, only the enemy Atlanta, AA spec Cleveland, a new Orleans with defensive AA fire, and a trio of battleships pooling their AA could prevent themselves from being decimated by my aircraft (even the AA ships still took minor damage from the remains of my squadrons). Light cruisers that shoot from behind islands are immobile, and vulnerable to attack from bombers and torpedo planes. Heavy cruisers, especially those with an AA focus, are the only ships capable of repelling constant attack by same tier carriers without major damage. Most battleships, with the exception of high tier American ones, generally have crap or mediocre AA, and need an escort or a division to pool their AA. However, concealment isn't really that important, and all BBs can take a hit, so other than being unable to dodge torpedoes, they did OK. The main consensus is that CV's are not that fun to play against. On top of that, It is hard to repel air attack, and being permanently spotted is deadly for most light cruisers and destroyers. I have also heard complaints from the aircraft carrier community. The US Cv community, complains that dive bombers require too much RNG and that the torpedoes don't do enough alpha. The IJN community is having trouble with AP bombs and the bomb sights, which are accurate but hard to use. The british CV line is still going through buffs and nerf at an alarming rate. Right now (2 patches from now this could have changed entirely) the british CV community complains that the short arming distance torpedoes are carried by aircraft that lack the health and speed to reach their target, and the bombing runs are rather flat and sort of have a forward rather than a mostly down trajectory. On top of that, all Cv's are having trouble doing reliable damage to ships. For example, American CV's struggle to inflict damage with bombs to well armored battleships, whose deck they fail to penetrate, and maneuvering cruisers, which they lack the accuracy to hit. Many Cv's complain that other ships do damage and earn credits farming damage off of cruisers and destroyers that they spot, while the CV hemorrhages aircraft trying to get damage done and the cruisers and destroyers rage over being spotted and focused down by the rest of the enemy ships. In conclusion, I believe that carrier spotting mechanics are a death sentence for any ships that rely on concealment. I also believe that Carriers fail to do much damage due to the fact that their planes, while fast, have too little health or maneuverability. Also, Carriers don't like being up-tiered. I look forward to your opinions and ideas about how to fix the carrier. Please PLZ! comment below. Photo gallery:
