  1. Long long ago, WoWP had whiners, just like we do. In fact, they were even more toxic than WOT whiners, possibly because of the elevated oxygen levels. And these whiners whined about EVERYTHING. They cried about bomber turrets, they wawaed about GAA armor, they moped about matchmaker. And what did WG do? Fix, of course! After all, the requests seemed perfectly reasonable... to the whiners. They were the only ones who benefited. And finally, it cumulated into the Matchmaker fix. Now, I'm not saying the MM update was BAD, no, it was pretty good, actually. It's just that the cost--killing the game--- was a little too much, and adding bots didn't really help because most of the whiners already left for wot. The warplanes community staggered on, slowly gaining traction, but we will probably never beat wot. One wonders how WOT can still be so popular after 50% of the population claims they uninstalled from cash grabs every patch.

How to send a ship into space

All of a sudden, you want to send a ship into space, and it's urgent. You have infinite money, humans, resources, and tries. What do you do? Read this handy guide to find out! Part 1: Getting it to space and having it stay there We'll use the Warspite, avoiding the overused anime cliché of the Yamato. Space isn't hard to get to because it's high. Space is CLOSE. In fact, that's exactly why it's hard to get to, you have to be going 8 km/s to stay there. 8 km/s is fast [citation needed], and ships are heavy [citation needed]. It's hard to get heavy things to move very fast, so one engine probably won't cut it. A partial solution is to add more rocket boosters. However, more boosters mean more weight and fuel which means more boosters...... it doesn't go forever, but it's clear enough where it's headed: Oh, the ship probably wouldn't stand up to the gravity you get from pointing up, and the winds when going up would strip off the superstructure anyways. It looks like we need another solution. A good idea might be to take it apart, then send each part up via soyuz. However, it might get expensive, and since no one's ever sent a ship into space1, you'll have a hard time finding support for your idea. I would definitely call Elon Musk. Now, once your ship gets into space, you'll notice another, blatant, problem. You'll need to properly insulate your Warspite, as well as add adequate heating systems. Space is cold, and it delivers much more cold than the sun does heat. If you don't, you might need to defrost your crew after each mission. You'll also need to make sure the crew doesn't have to go outside with space suits. Don't worry, there will be more! 1: As of 2198

Irian vs. Mainz -- Which to buy?

So what's the difference between these two premium ships? Both look like Tier VIII CL shooty boats with torps. Both in the shop are around $45 (at the time of this writing). Which one would you buy and why?

How should I learn to play DDs

I have played CAs, BBs, CVs, and even CLs and have gained a level of mastery on some (Hindenburg). But DDs seem to elude me, the Ruskies, I zoom around, don’t help the win, and get blapped by a Chapayev. When I still played the Japanese DDs, I got cornered and blapped, and after 1 game in Clemson, I get blapped. How should I play DDs, and which lines should I start off with, I would really like to learn this rather influential ship class. I think it will help me improve my gameplay, because the best way to counter DDs is to think like them, and the best way to know the actions of a radar cruiser is to be forced to counterplay radar, so I know when the 2 key will be most useful on Hindenburg. Thoughts?
  5. ST. Balance changes. French ships. The French cruiser Henri IV. A test variant of the ship will be added to the game. The consumable "Main Gun Reload Booster" has been added with the following characteristics: Reload Time of the Main Caliber -50%; Duration 15 s; Cooldown 120 s and 80 s for Main Gun Reload Booster II; Charges 2 and 3 for Main Gun Reload Booster II; Main goal of the new consumable is to grant players of the ship a temporary boost for a small period of time to reload main guns and fire a final salvo. The French battleship Jean Bart: The tier was raised from VIII to IX. The ship's characteristics are changed to match the new tier. The sigma parameter is increased from 1.8 to 2.0; The reload time of the Main Battery is reduced from 30 to 26 s; The parameters of the consumable "Repair party" have been changed: Number of charges: increased from 1 (2 for Repair party II) to 3 (4); Cooldown: reduced from 120 (80 for Repair party II) to 60 seconds (40 seconds). The French battleship Alsace: Increased the reload time of the Main Battery from 30 to 32 s; Reduced the value of sigma from 1.7 to 1.6. The ship has a rather high average damage rating, while being on the same tier for the other parameters with tier IX battleships. The French cruiser Emile Bertin: Increased the reload time of the Main Battery from 12 to 13 s. Torpedoes 550-mm DT replaced by 550-mm 19D with the following characteristics: Reload time: 84 s; Damage from the torpedo: 12 233; Torpedo speed: 57 knots; Range: 6 km. Possessing a specific armor scheme, guns with good ballistics and torpedoes with a long range, the ship showed excessive efficiency. Changes are necessary in order to bring the ship to balance at her tier. Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary.
