Hello everyone o7 I came here today to remove a doubt about ''overpen'' how is it possible to make multiple saves against the same ship in a distance that varied between 15KM and 5KM and have only overpens as a result? YT video

I was considering getting an RB ship, but after some digging I found that there are alternatives Vermont just seems like a better option for sniping than the Slava, I already have Georgia so Ohio is questionable, and Colbert looks like a Wooster with less utility. I did some digging on Siegfried and Paolo and they both seem to be pretty meh Of course I can’t really compare these ships in battle and I couldn’t find a lot of videos on these RB ships comparing them to ships already in the game I have some Fxp saved up, and I’m willing to stack resets on a destroyer line I have almost completed, but I am only willing to get one of these ships if this said ship can pull their weight. Here are my options: A) Just save my fxp for grinding up tech trees B) Save up for the Friesland C) Get a RB ship So what do you guys think? Are any of the RB ships worth it compared to other tech tree/premium ships and which one is best? If you have any of these ships can you tell me if you like them or not

If wargaming wants to keep its Russian bias, the tech tree Russian ships need buffed ASAP! With the changes to the commander skill tree, and the game meta now being shifted to torp boats, A/J line BB sniping and FDRs, short range specialized ships that are can tank a lot of damage a straight up bad. The only viable ship from the Russian navy is well.... Slava, and maybe Slava, oh and Slava. Even Smolensk doesn't really make sense when everything is already outside of 19 kilometers. So WG, if you care so much about your Russian ships, then you probably should buff them, or else there will be no reason to play them... even on the RU servers.

I've finally gotten enough coal for the Thunderer, but should I wait and see what resource the Slava is going to be sold for? After all the nerfing is it still the better option? And when is it going to be released: 9.6, 9.7, or 9.8? Thanks.

Slava: Pommern: Speaking from statistical empiricism, when a ship is first released, she tends to attract the most enthusiastic players. These players have above-average gaming skills. For instance, Jean Bart had 111k damage/match on the first day of release in NA live server, which is 140% of her current 80k damage/match. If the 140% multiplier holds, then we can expect Slava's damage/match to converge towards 106k/1.4=76k, and Pommern's, 83k/1.4=59k. That said, based on my own opinion, Slava's current stats are already experiencing a saturated clientele effect, and is unlikely to revert to "the mean" so much. It may converge around 95k~100k instead. Meanwhile, Pommern is available for cash, Coal, and Doubloons, so her stats may actually revert as heavily as the Jean Bart, resulting in the 59k damage/match similar to that of the Tech Tree FdG.

As title goes, Slava is out of NDA and here's a video with her release version. Should give an idea on what to expect as a potential buyer, and as someone opposing one. Seems to be along the lines of Champagne, conforming to passive playstyle. There's a section by the end showing the armor as well, 25mm extremities.

A premium Sovetsky Soyuz at Tier 10 to replace Slava
_Marines posted a topic in Player Feature and Gameplay Suggestions
Previous the Dev team has tried to introduce a Tier 10 Russian battleship. That did not provoke a positive response from the CCs and the players, because people find that dispersion formula to be absurd at range. I think a fundamental reason is that Kremlin (Project 24 BB) is quite strong to begin with. Instead of implementing a premium Project 24, Wargaming can instead try to introduce a Tier 10 premium Project 23 (Sovetsky Soyuz-class), giving her a battlecruiser dispersion formula (like the Thunderer's) and Ohio's accurate secondaries (7.5km base range and tight dispersion). In this way, the new "Slava", a hypothetical second ship of the Sovetsky Soyuz-class, may slot comfortably between the roles of the Thunderer (sniper) and the Ohio (brawler): a brawlable Russian battleship with reasonable damage projection at range. The main gun "extra accuracy" at close ranges feature, like other Russian BBs, can be implemented as balance needs. The Sovetsky Soyuz-class is also more defendable historically, with the in-game model quite accurately reflecting the actual Sovetsky Soyuz-class. At the beginning of World War II, the first and second ship of the class are at 21% and 18% complete, and the third ship was at 1% complete.
