    Hello possible member! Thank you for showing interest in Deplorable Potatoes. We are a causalish that is about more than World of Warships. We are about "family", an online gaming family. We play all sorts of games together not just Warships, this is just the primary one. We don't look at stats other than amount of battles, and we do not require a tier 10...There are almost no requirements to join! What we do require is: 100 Battles minimum (Only stat requirement) Have a Microphone Be Social Be Respectful Be Active Having a microphone and being social is what makes clan play fun and enjoyable. What's the point of being in a clan and playing with people if you can't talk to each other? Being respectful is just a part of being a human being. To be in any clan you have to be active, however, life happens. Just let people know if you have to take a break or if something comes up. If you're interested join our discord and talk to us! 
  2. This topic is meant to inform the potatoe players and common player base about ships deemed OP. First of all they're not. Let's start off with Belfast. Belfast pros: Smoke,Radar,Hydro,HE shells, teir 7 Belfast cons: No torps, big citadel, mediocre AA Everyone agrees this ship is a very good boat, but is by no means overpowered to counter this ship use radar or blind fire into the smoke screen, if you use a spotter plane is certainly much easier to hit them. Kutuzov pros: Smoke,hydro/Def AA, very good AA, decent rudder, good HE shells and good fire chance 8km torps Kutuzov cons: The russian citadel curse, weak to AP shells losses AA mounts very quickly under HE spam. Everyone also agrees that this ship is very good, to counter this ship use the same steps used to counter Belfast. Kronstadt pros: Large fast reloading guns, great concealment for it's tech tree, decent rudder, Russian 12km radar, def AA/spotter plane and good armor/large amount of HP Kronstadt cons: Guns are unpredictable at range with AP, long fire time for a CA, horrible anti-aircraft guns (The worst at her teir), large turning circle, 25mm bow armor which is not a problem in it's self but adding her large size and large bow it's a citadel waiting to happen because even 380mm/15in guns can overmatch it. Kronstadt is a great ship good guns, decent range good reload an amazing amount of HP but then we have the potatoes who miss it a few times and scream it's too good, here are ways to correct that. 1. If you're missing a ship because It's dodging your shells stop firing all your guns at once. Fire them individually at different angles at least one of the shells will hit most of the time. 2. If you're a battleship don't spam HE at it fire AP and use step 1. 3. When at close range fire at its bow or stern (If your a BB with 380mm guns or larger) HE is a noob weapon. Derski: I'm seeing a surprising amount of people complain about this ship because of it's amount of quick reloading torpedoes or when they get obliterated by them. So here the guid to avoid it. 1. What are you doing so close that boat in the first place? 2. Stay more than 4km away from it and you will be fine. 3. It's an ambush ship, that means it's going to be waiting for you around islands or smoke screens, so avoid them. Time to see the salt from this one. Stalingrad pros: large amazing surgical guns (every time someone says railgun for Russian guns should know that real railguns first very slow. Second, are highly inaccurate they land in the square mile you fired at),def AA, 12km radar, better bow armor then most BBs, good HE and great speed. Stalingrad cons: Eats HE spam and fires,long fire time, The russian family citadel curse, weak to torps,no hydro, horrible turning circle and last but not you get spotted from the moon. Stalingrad is a great ship but it's not overpowered.... As you can see there are more cons then pros do all of you going it's overpowered anyway first, it's the player that makes a ship overpowered. Second, what would you rather see if you're in a tier 10 battleship a unicum Zao or Stalingrad? I would take a Stalingrad any day of the week and if you wouldn't you obviously haven't been burned down enough go find yourself a Zao. To counter a Stalingrad just simply get you and all of your teammates and simply start shooting at it.... It's strangely effective. Let me know with the comments if you wish for me to make any more of these guides that probably no one ever reads. If you personally wish to argue with me message me in game I love arguing even if it's a bot, or if you wish for me to teach you or explain something more to you also send me a message!     T8 - 10 Players

    So I finally completed, with much frustration, a 100 game evaluation of high tier players. In the games I have played from T8 to especially T10. Unicum - 53 Great - 95 Good - 200 Average -707 Below Average - 752 Bad - 593 Of the 2400 players throughout this 100 game run, this is how they brake down by rating. This makes me not only sad, but contemplating going back to T2 - 4 for funsies, and well why not. If below average players infest high tiers, why not have a little fun in low tiers. Take away from this what you may. Nothing but data for the community.

    The skin is THIN with this one... Hopped into a Co Op to get some XP to fully kit out my new Pensacola where the BB that started at A crossed the map towards the back at the start, and then this happened after myself and another CL had burned down a Scharnhorst by ourselves: Match ended before he could reply, but based on his score....not a whole lot XD

Our team: Independence, Zuiho, Arizona (me), 2 Bayerns, Mutsu, New York, Nurnberg, Budyonny, Graf Spee, Omaha, JianWei Enemy team: Independence, Zuiho, 2 Bayerns, New Mexico, Mutsu, Bretagne, Molotov, Pensacola, De Grasse, Konigsberg, T-22 Map/Mode: Strait, Domination So most team's plans for playing Strait, especially when it's Domination, involves either pushing both flanks or one flank's ships heading to the other side in order to bring overwhelming force down onto a single flank before mopping up. This time, however, both flanks try to reinforce each other, resulting in a massive traffic jam in the cluster of islands on the west side of B. Consequently, only three ships—the Jianwei, the New York, and me—are even trying to contest the caps. By the 7 minute mark: our Independence had died from a snipe by the enemy Independence with only 2 plane kills and 77 base xp our Omaha had gotten nuked less than 3 minutes in and came out with <180 base xp our New York has fled to go join the rest of the team, leaving me and the JianWei alone to cap B and C everyone else is camped behind islands, incapable of defending the caps So you'd think the enemy team has an easy time ahead of them, right? Just cap A and C (and kill me in the process), maybe try to cap B, and generally just wait for the points to come in while our team camps behind the islands. Nope! Instead, they decide to push, which ends badly for them. The Pensacola and T-22 rush our team's cluster and get predictably sunk, followed shortly by the De Grasse. Their New Mexico gets sunk by one of our Bayerns before the Bayern itself, having been left isolated in B, is destroyed One of their Bayerns gets stuck bow-on reversing with our remaining cruisers focusing him and me on his broadside, and dies as a result The OTHER enemy Bayern accidentally gives broadside to me at 2 km (it would seem he thought I'd be too far around the island to fire on him), allowing me to wipe out 60% of his HP in a single broadside salvo Our JianWei defends C to the death, killing the enemy Molotov and scaring the rest of the enemy team at C (Bretagne, Konigsberg, and Mutsu) away from the cap At this point, our team finally comes out from behind the island cluster and begins attacking. Thanks to their not pushing when they had the chance, I finally get support from our team's Mutsu, who helps our New York kill the second enemy Bayern (but not enough to save the New York) The enemy Mutsu, apparently afraid of showing broadside to our Mutsu, allows me to sink him with 3 citadel hits (and despite the enemy Independence making me eat two torpedoes) The enemy Konigsberg apparently thinks that sitting still will somehow make me miss, and gets sunk for it The Bretagne went east to try and protect their carriers, but doesn't accomplish much At this point, the match is clearly over, as our team finishes off the Bretagne but amazingly lets the enemy Independence slip away from the cluster of islands he was in, albeit at 2k health. Too bad for the Indy (who was pretty darn good, earning >1.1k base xp and 32 planes shot down on a loss), his flight only resulted in him sailing within 8 km of me, so I put him out of his misery. The final enemy ship, the Zuiho, manages to scamper out of detection range with less than 4k health remaining and survives to the end of the match. A [edited]show from the beginning to the end.
