  1. As per title, Iowa is missing a substantial amount of 20mm Oerlikons in World of Warships. This is likely due to Iowa having a very, very old model that hasn't changed since the early days of World of Warships. Interestingly, Missouri possesses many of the 20mm fixtures Iowa is missing, save for some minor differences that are most notable around the midsection of the ship, where the two sisters diverge in their AA scheme and design. In total, Iowa appears to be missing a grand total of 20 20mm Oerlikon mounts.

    Torpedo Aiming

    I've been playing for some years. I've got 2800 games under my belt which in my view is enough to be getting on with. I've got a question about torpedos. Using the aiming system, basically 9 times out of 10 the spread will miss behind the enemy ship. 1 out of 10 times, one of the torpedos will hit. Yes, I understand that players speed up, slow down, turn right, turn left and the aiming guide only represents an instant in time. And that's why I have waited so long to post this question. I figured I'd figure it out eventually. But there are mechanics, and then there is the law of averages. Out of thousands of torpedo launches, some number of these should be full strikes. In the case of the Kagero, a full 4 torpedo spread should hit every so often. It's inconceivable that every ship is going slower than full speed when I launch torps only to have sped up by the time my torps get there. Some number out of thousands of launches should be going the same speed the whole time. And yet, 90% of my strikes miss behind the ship. They don't mist ahead of the ship, always behind. And 10% of the time, the right or left most torpedo is the one that will hit, meaning the spread only just barely hit the target. My torps are 74 knots, which is pretty dang fast all considered. I have tried every distance between 10 km and 6 km. Getting closer should definitely reduce the ability of a BB to make any kind of adjustments especially when I haven't been spotted. Yet there is no discernible difference. I'm as likely to miss behind the ship at 6 km as I am at 10. So, I could simply start aiming ahead and this seems to actually produce some results, though its not as good as one might think. But compensating by aiming ahead isn't the point of this question. The question is why do aimed shots basically always miss behind a target? Mathematically, this doesn't make any sense. Some percentage of strikes should be dead on. It's inconceivable that a ship is always going from slow to fast which is the only way I could be missing them behind after thousands of launches. Again, simply aiming ahead seems to be more effective, though I haven't worked out exactly how much further ahead I should be aiming. This may have more to do with how the enemy player is controlling their ship , but again, that's not the point. It feels and looks like the aiming guide is deliberately set by WG to guide your aim short. I don't know how else to explain the extreme consistency of missing behind a ship Any tips would be useful, but really, I'm looking for people to opine on this. I'm not looking for a magical answer,,,, or maybe even an answer of any kind at all. I'd just like to get peoples opinions on what's going on. It just can't be all down to the enemy player always speeding up after I launch. Statistically this makes no sense.
  3. I ended up missing a box when I claimed dockyard stage 4-11 rewards. It showed up in the notifications yet not in the containers section. Note I already had several of the special ones I was saving for a day where I can use the premium time. I claimed the 4-11 stages on 12/12/2021 around 5pm pacific. So I filed a ticket indicating what happened. I claimed rewards 4-11 at the same time. It skipped 4 which is a Santa's gift container. The other rewards all came in and or activated. I didn't see it even mentioned in the notifications to the screen. stages 1-3 were blue and 4-11 were gold. Stages 12 and one were white, so the system knew I had reached it but not claimed it. They also showed the checkmark and said obtained, but nothing received for stage 4 And supports response from some Time warped universe...note the dates in the response! Hello, Commander. Best regards, XXXX So I filed a note in the ticket about their research and dates used. Anyone else run into game issues OR support issues like this? Has anyone x that spent $ on this game run into the issue? Maybe claiming 8 stages of rewards are too much for the system. I would have expected Support to at least check the right dates in the database as part of their research. Not give an absolutely wrong answer. Oh well, it's wg so as expected. Just something to watch out for if anyone is doing the dockyard rewards.
  4. I cant tell if it was removed during a update months back but I hadn't taken out my S. Dragon or N. Dragon out since the last snowflake event for the coal but I always enjoyed the special torpedo explosion effect they had: which was that of a firework explosion similar to the ARP ships special torpedo impact effects, Only now its completely gone since the last major graphics update, Was this intentional?

    Missing Snowflakes

    I have been running thru my ships by nation to get rid of snowflakes. I am now about to start on my Germans. I started looking at them and realized that there was no snowflakes on my tier 5 and 6 German BBs, the new ones. I have been playing my tier 7 every day to earn XP when the ship tree goes live, and didn't notice whether or not I got coal from it, but the other two I know I have not played except when I first received them well before this event started. Anyone else notice this or is this just with my ships?
  6. Ever since the latest update (0.10.4) on Achievements/Profile went online, I've noticed a particular lack of progression on the Scenarios Achievements sections. I've been stuck on the same amount of numbers (144/150) (among the others also not being counted) and even thou I play them non regularly, I should have gotten (example given) the Ravager achievements a long time ago, no kills is accounted nor is registered. I also noticed my Engineer of the Future Achievement is missing, even thou I won it fairly and have it late than I should have it. But after the 0.10.4 update, is long gone without a warning nor a message. I found it on my own. It's been weeks since I had nothing in return and its frustrated to the max. Update 02/07/21: the Engineer of the Future Achievement has returned to my achievements sections, however the same cannot be said to the other achievements, still not being counted for whenever I do Operations more regularly than before. Update 25/09/21: After the Subs update, it seems a new "directive" is needed in order for achievements to be accounted for: winning; something it was never necessary nor mandatory to get them in the first place.
  7. The DAILY GIFT that was previously announced as starting on 1 May 2021 does not appear when I log into the game. I have seen it briefly flash onto my port screen while game is finishing setting up the Port Screen only for it to quickly disappear and never be seen again. I've done a Search for it in my Armory and get "No Results." Where is this Daily Gift? Will we be able to make up for the 2 days of it I, and apparently others, have lost?
  8. I just noticed that my Doubloon count dropped by 10 at some point this morning - I assume somehow a camouflage, or some flags were set to auto-resupply for doubloons - definitely NOT intended. Short of manually checking every ship I may have played in the past few hours, is there a faster way to find out how it was spent? A list of doubloon transactions perhaps? Also, what is the likelihood of WG refunding it? It may seem small to some, but it puts me 10 shy of a Port Slot - and I will definitely not purchase more doubloons just to make up the 10. A look at my account history will show that I've never spent doubloons on camos/flags.

  10. Several times now I have been awarded or have received in a container, a 24 hours premium account and have not been credited with them. Really I should have a free month of premium for all the 24 hr premiums I have not been credited. Supposedly they are supposed to appear consecutively, but they don't appear at all. From now on I will try to remember to screenshot every time I get one, and then screenshot my standard account that should be premium. Does anyone else have this happening?

    Event log

    Hello Captains, I have been wondering, is there a local file where all your sessions or more crucially. What you received during your active session is logged locally? I have an issue I'm trying to get to the bottom of. On a different note. Has anyone finished any of their FSW directives and not received all the rewards unlocked?
  12. Yesterday I noticed that when I begin a battle the ship displays have changed for both enemy and ally. All I can see now is the ship class icon. I cannot see the enemy/ally name, ship name, range (unless they are in range) or damage bar indicator. Has anything changed? I was not able to find any notes about this or any setting I can change.
  13. Had my first game in Acasta today for RN event level 3. Note how the RN destroyer data for the bottom directive? is not started yet the top one is! Is this a bug? I don't see a level requirement for this mission
