I'm looking to study up one the construction and capabilities of the old ships of the line, however I'm not really interested in historical data for which to create models with, I'm interested in a book with plenty of historical analysis. Does anyone know any good books about the topic? I've seen some previews of "THE 74 GUN SHIP Practical Treatise of Naval Art 1780" but it appears to be mostly data for ship modelers and not analysis but I can't really say for sure having not read it and there's only one review of it on amazon.
