  1. Two common counter-arguments exist for waiting to purchase Hayate once she's available for coal. 1-FXP is more valuable as an RP converter. 2-FXP is far scarcer than coal. First, some assumptions about myself: I'm a F2P collector, meaning I want to collect all ships not available for doubloons. FXP is readily converted into RP, but RP is on balance harder to obtain: Requires reset - requiring time "grinding" and credits 2x multiplier available only once every 3 months. Coal is a far scarcer resource, given that it's more flexible than FXP for purchases. This is my personal preference. Since I obtain ships mainly as collector items, they all have equal value (tier for tier). I have far more FXP than I need for its main uses. 1-Counter to argument #1, RP is more valuable than FXP. With 2,000,000 FXP (the cost of Hayate), what is the conversion to RP? With the cheapest line to reset, IJN gunboat: Required FXP 676,640 RP Yield 10,200 2x multiplier 20,400 FXP required per RP: 33.16863 Meaning Hayate is worth: 60,298 RP The most expensive RP ship is Slava at 63,000 RP TX destroyers are Druid (56,000 RP) and Vampire II (55,000). Bear in mind, this is using the 2x quarterly multiplier. Yielding this level of RP means waiting for 3 multipliers, or 9 months. Hayate is worth twice the value without the multiplier, or 120,596 RP. 2-Counter to argument #2, Coal is easier to obtain than FXP, meaning the wait is valuable. FXP is used to jump through tech trees, research modules, and level up captains. There are other niche uses lately where WG has made certain items available for purchase. I already have far more FXP than I would ever need for the above uses. Thus, my coal is far scarcer than FXP as a ship-buying currency. Conclusion Given the costs to obtain comparable RP ships, and given there are many great coal ships available, I conclude it is more economical to purchase Hayate as a FXP ship while it is available. Right now I have 1,084,905 FXP. I should have 2M by the deadline (12.4)

    Any new coal ships?

Are there any new coal ships on the horizon? Not ones that are being converted from fxp to coal, but new ships altogether. TIA!
  3. Hello captains, got something hot off the spreadsheet for ya! So, I am currently grinding out the new Italian DDs (currently on the tier 7 Luca Tarigo), and I wanted to maximize my commander XP to get a 14-point captain. I looked at my variety of camos, picked one I thought would be good, and went about my business. Turns out, I made a poor choice. If you're like me, the variety of bonuses is slightly overwhelming and not entirely clear. Therefore, I've spent some time going through all of the camos I currently own* and made a list of all their bonuses and calculated the amount of experience one could earn per battle with them. I will list them below, in order of what you might want to earn (i.e. if you are grinding ship experience, free experience (FXP), or commander XP). This is to help all of you who may not want or care to take the time to do the math and figure out what each camouflage will get you. Please, keep in mind these values are for camouflage bonuses only and do not take signal flags and premium time into account. Those directly amplify the values listed below, so camo is the most important part of your ship's exterior. To make it easier to understand, please assume that your base XP will be a factor of 1. The values shown below are direct multipliers. So, if you earn 2,100 base XP and have the Type 59 camo mounted, you will earn 3 times that value (6,300 XP) in ship XP alone, not including FXP or commander XP. A more detailed example: I play Luca Tarigo in ranked, and have an average of 1368 XP per battle. If I was to mount the "Victory Salute" camouflage, per each game I would earn an average of: 1368 x 2 = 2736 ship XP 1368 x 0.2 = 274 FXP 1368 x 5 = 6840 commander XP Compare this to me playing with the "Bronze" camo: 1368 x 2 = 2736 ship XP 1368 x 0.3 = 410 FXP 1368 x 2 = 2736 commander XP (60% less than if I had been using the Victory Salute camo) If you want to maximize your ship XP: Best (x3): Spring Sky, Asian Lantern, Type 59 Very Good (x2.5): King of the Sea, Sirroco, Subscriber's camouflage Good (x2.25): Mars, Stars 'n' Stripes, Prime Gaming, Full Moon, Gold Okay (x2): gamescom Blue, St. Patrick's Day, Fields of Tuscany, KotS XIII Green, KotS XIII Red, Battle of Jutland, Bronze, Black, White, Red, Primordial Annihilator, Victory Salute, Int'l Women's Day, Summer, Regia Marina, WoWs Anniversary, Frosty Fir Tree, Victory, Union Jack, Sharks, Battle Hardened, Eternal Crusader, The Red Threat, Flying Dutchman, Brazillian, Autobot Ark, Protector of the Faith, Red Heart, Red Soul, Brilliant Ray, Crimson Tear, Sci-Fi Space, La Fheile Padraig, Valentine's Day, Type 3 - Ranked, Dragon Boat, European, Type 21, MS-21, Halloween, Ocean Soul, Type 3 - New Year, Winter Strand, In Remembrance of Heroes, Silver, Indian Tricolor, Decepticon Disguise, New Year Sky, French Riviera, Post-Apocolypse, New Year Streamer, Azure Lane - Siren, Eagles, Lunar Warrior, O.I.T.N.B Meh (x1.75): New Year, Shadow Lurker, Awarded, Storm Wind, WoWs: the Beautiful Game, Canada Day, Deserved, Revolutionary, Humble Bundle, Steam, Blue Lagoon Bad (x1.5): Triumphant, For Meritous Service, Fall Cornucopia, Hunter, Dazzling, Cartographic, Trophy, Linus Tech Tips Bruh (absolutely zero bonus): Stream Dream, Restless Fire, Pi Day, This is your day, Commander!, Back-2-School If you want to maximize your Free XP (FXP): Best (x1.32): Spring Sky Excellent (x0.75): King of the Sea Very Good (x0.4): gamescom Blue Slightly Better than Good (x0.3375): Gold Good (x0.3): St. Patrick's Day, Fields of Tuscany, KotS Green, KotS Red, Battle of Jutland, Bronze, Black White Red, Primordial Annihilator, Silver Okay (x0.2625-0.2): Triumphant, New Year, Subscriber's camouflage, Mars, Stars 'n' Stripes, Shadow Lurker, Pi Day, Victory Salute, Int'l Women's Day, Summer, Regia Marina, WoWs Anniversary, Winter Strand, New Year Sky, Post-Apocalypse, New Year Streamer Meh (x0.175-0.15): Awarded, Storm Wind, WoWs: the Beautiful Game, Canada Day, Humble Bundle, Steam, Frosty Fir Tree, Victory, Union Jack, Sharks, Type 59, Indian Tricolor, French Riviera, Eagles, Lunar Warrior Bad (x0.1125-0.1): Sirroco, For Meritous Service, Linus Tech Tips, Prime Gaming, Full Moon, Battle Hardened, Eternal Crusader, The Red Threat, Flying Dutchman, Brazillian, Autobot Ark, Protector of the Faith, Red Heart, Red Soul, Brilliant Ray, Crimson Tear, Sci-Fi Space, La Fheile Padraig, Valentine's Day, Type 3 – Ranked, Dragon Boat, European, Type 21, MS-21, Halloween, Ocean Soul, Type 3 - New Year, Stream Dream, In Remembrance of Heroes, Decepticon Disguise, Azure Lane - Siren, O.I.T.N.B Bruh (x0.0875-0.05): Deserved, Revolutionary, Blue Lagoon, Fall Cornucopia, Hunter, Dazzling, Cartographic, Trophy, This is your day, Commander!, Restless Fire, Back-2-School If you want to maximize your Commander XP: Best (x19.65): Asian Lantern (why on earth would you not mount this camo?) Use it only if you are either saving your better camos for something, or you like to make your enemies' eyes bleed. Frosty Fir Tree - ugly as it may be - is actually a decent camo in terms of its bonuses. If you liked this post, or found it useful, please consider leaving a rose... *I have a habit of saving 1 of every camo I collect (just cause), but I do not have all of them. If you have camos you may or may not have seen in my lists, please feel free to post them below. Thank you to all who have helped with corrections and camo stat pics!
  4. When Nelson was announced to be on the chopping block, I had 250k fxp now after a period of serious grinding through Big Hunt bundles, coal containers, and playing, I am at 317,393k fxp. I am guessing by the end of next month or two I can get Nelson. Is there an timeframe/ date of when Nelson being removed ?
  5. Koogus

    Nelson question

Hear Nelson is getting removed in 3 months and I'm wondering how much doubloons it would cost to get her by buying all the fxp? I dont have the time to go all out and try and grind for all the fxp so I might just use doubloons to get it all instead (if its not too expensive)
  6. I was considering getting an RB ship, but after some digging I found that there are alternatives Vermont just seems like a better option for sniping than the Slava, I already have Georgia so Ohio is questionable, and Colbert looks like a Wooster with less utility. I did some digging on Siegfried and Paolo and they both seem to be pretty meh Of course I can’t really compare these ships in battle and I couldn’t find a lot of videos on these RB ships comparing them to ships already in the game I have some Fxp saved up, and I’m willing to stack resets on a destroyer line I have almost completed, but I am only willing to get one of these ships if this said ship can pull their weight. Here are my options: A) Just save my fxp for grinding up tech trees B) Save up for the Friesland C) Get a RB ship So what do you guys think? Are any of the RB ships worth it compared to other tech tree/premium ships and which one is best? If you have any of these ships can you tell me if you like them or not
  7. Let's do some semi-educated speculation based on this: https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/95 We are shortly losing 4 high tier premium/special ships currently available for coal or FXP: HMS Thunderer, USS Georgia, USS Alaska and HSwMS Smaland (and one for doubloons, the MA). This will open a big hole to fill for high tier resource ships in the armory, and my guess is that WG will move to fill that hole around the same time these ships are removed. Fortunately, there are two announced high tier ships that are either ready or nearly ready for release: HMS Plymouth, and HMAS Vampire II. My hypothesis that one of those will go for coal and the other for 2 million FXP. I also think we will see the return of the USS Black or the Neustrashimy as a coal ship around this time. Scoreboard: - 1 T10 coal ship (Thunderer) + 1 T10 coal ship (Plymouth/V2) - 1 T10 FXP ship (Smaland) + 1 T10 FXP ship (Plymouth/V2) - 1 T9 coal ship (GA) + 1 T9 coal ship (Black/Neustrashimy) - 1 T9 FXP ship (AK) That still leaves the Armory - 1 high tier resource ship. The Black and Neustrashimy could both return at the same time, although both are expected to be coal ships. However, this would also be a great time for the return of T9 USS Benham for 1 million FXP. As she is considered by some to be overpowered, she may have already been placed into the rare ship category with the likes of Belfast, Enterprise, etc. In that case, the other ship that could make a unlikely return in a flurry of hate and discontent is the T10 USS Puerto Rico. As she is the in game successor to the AK, I think she would most likely for 2 million FXP, though perhaps for coal, or even steel (she is popular in clan battles) or RB.

    Free XP question

So I grinded Operation Aegis a lot and know I have 120k free XP, I plan on saving it for a freemium but my question is should I be slightly impatient and get the nelson or should I save 1mil FXP to get one of the tier IX ones
  9. earned Premium ship XP should automatically go in to FXP (Free Experience XP pool). This would make any Premium ship more valuable .
  10. OK WG So far we have 4 in game Italian warships with number 5 being tested but as of yet no tech tree lines, we have heard all the stories about when they will arrive, next year or 2021 or 2041 Blah blah blah. Sometime in the not to distant Yoshino will be released and some folks will be elated good for them but for many here this is no fun we want to see the Italian Tricolour fluttering high on masts on the High Seas. Now of course I'm certain that WG has set out on there spread sheet a release day list of ships. Since it will be quite some time till we see a tech tree line flying the Tricolour. I am " THROWING DOWN THE GAUNTLET " LESTA I CHALLENGE you to rip up your pre planned release schedule and " Throw caution to the Wind ", "Think outside the Box", " Live Dangerously ", " Be Unpredictable ", " Take a leap of Faith ", "Break the Mould " and "Give yourself to the DARK SIDE " and create, design and release a Tier 9 or 10 FREE XP Italian ship next after Yoshino, I DARE YOU WG. I call upon the following Moderators to pass on my challenge to WG HQ, @Radar_X, @turbo07, @Femennenly. regards

    Midway refund

I'm seriously tempted to refund my midway and regrind it. The huge 480,000 fxp would put me up to 2,000,000fxp. Enough for alaska and azuma. Then I'd just regrind through the Lexington. Is it worth it and will I lose my midway legendary progress?
  12. Has WG given any indication why they are removing the ability to obtain these ships with FXP or arsenal coal? Is there anything to suggest they will not return eventually? I spent virtually all of my coal on getting Musashi but Kronstadt I am less certain about. I'm more interested in the Alaska class (personally I'd prefer to be able to buy Guam) and Kronstadt seems less likely to be declared OP than Musashi so I imagine it may well return someday.
