  1. When you go to the steam page to download World of Warships, you get a little blurb detailing the highlights of the game. One of them reads as follows. OVER 400 HISTORICAL SHIPS From Bismarck and Yamato to Iowa and Hood… The most famous and historic warships of WWI and WWII have been recreated in breathtaking detail, making World of Warships the most extensive virtual naval museum on the planet! In terms of quantity of ships, yes, Wows has a lot. I think that calling all of them historical may be overselling the point, but a emphasis is made on having there be historically accurate ships in this game. Many ships are modeled to impressive detail. This makes the misses all the more frustrating. Currently, while seeing new announced premium ships is still fun, it nowadays also fills me with dread for 2 reasons. 1. I wonder if they got the ship right. 2. I know if they modeled it wrong, it will not change. Once a ship shows up in the devblog, maybe the stats will change (most likely they will really) but the visual aspects are set in stone for all of time. By the time we see them, they are too far along for any changes to be made. And this means that we get ships that are atrociously modeled. Perhaps it's HMS Iron Duke with only 1 funnel instead of 2. Perhaps its USS Flint with totally incorrect superstructure, followed by Chumphon not bothering to correct it. Perhaps it's Takao having the wrong superstructure. Take your pick, there are boatloads more. My question is this. With the roadmap now being a thing and the playerbase knowing what the lines are going to be well in advance of them coming out, is it possible to show the community (or just supertesters i guess) preliminary renders of the ships visual models similar to how was done with Huron, so that if there is a modeling error it can be noticed at a point where it can be corrected?
  2. As I was responding to a post where I recommended Juneau yesterday, I came across this. Here is a picture of Flint in WOWS. She has the same bridge as Atlanta. here are some pictures of Flint IRL They are very different. I cant really mark it up because basically everything here needs to change. So please, WG, when you are doing the USN DD remodel and you have them on the brain, please add Flint (and Chumphon too) to the list of ships that need some love. @Ahskance if you could run up the chain that at least 2 guys on NA server want a drastic model change that would take maybe hundreds of manhours to a pair of ships that are no longer revenue earners, i'd appreciate it. Maybe there is a slight chance something comes of this.

    FLINT ! BUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    * recently the flint cruiser received a poor range buff from 11.1 to 11.9k I mean nothing! and with a penalty of reducing -1 second .. why does this happen? if Atlanta did receive a good buff from 11.1k to 13.3. and without any PENALTY. why hate flint ?? * The Atlanta Class cruisers had better hull and deck armor. Deck: 1 + 1⁄4 in (32 mm), and ok not to put 32mm but go up those 13mm which are very horrible for its tier, to 20mm, at most 25mm his armor is very flan even a gun destroyer can easily deal great damage to atlanta / flint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Atlanta_(CL-51) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Flint_(CL-97)
  4. Results may vary, I openly invite anyone to try it out and share there results of the changes... For both ships... I ditched the AA spec... Its not worth it for none of them for 0.9.2 Now, if you hate to be annoyed/harassed by planes, you can keep it but for this test I ditched it completely . The ATL has IFHE... The Flint Has Halsey and DE build... Both test results have at least 300 shell hit at a target that is tier 8 or above Depending on your play style (that is why I invite your results as well), Fleet make up, and map... Both offer a different experience... First off the Flint, DE non IFHE Next up, The Atlanta with IFHE... SUMMERY As much as I dont like the changes, it is what it is... In the FLINT game it felt like a real grind to achieve those 2 kills against the tier 9 BBs. If you manage to reach 400 hits, expect a %50 pen rate with IFHE, without IFHE %50 less. *again depends on your aiming skills, mine are questionable* Test it out yourself, see if you can duplicate what I tested... Remember it was only one match.. The consistency, is questionable... GL boys and girls
  5. I was on the fence for playing on in ranked after I was stuck at rank 9. But since I would miss the Flint by 200 steel I gave it a try. The last battle not only got me to rank 8, I also got the missing 150 coal, from the daily mission, for the Smolensk. One battle, winning the two egg twins. And now some songs for the rest of the day And ofc for reaching finally the Flint

    USS Flint worth a pick up?

    Hey All! I got a decent amount of steel, but am now stuck as to what to get with it... the options Im looking at is either the Flint, or the Nuestrashimy. I have an Atlanta, and have a CRAZY amount of games played in it. I love the ship to death, along with worcester. However i've been told that the flint isn't really worth getting if I have a Atlanta already. I do love my grozovoi, so hence why im looking at the shimy. However I have no where near the same amount of fun and games played in the Atlanta. Can someone give me some good info to make my decision?

    Flint, Black y banderas

    Hola buenas, y de antemano gracias por corregir si me equivoco. Cuando empece a jugar WoWs una de las cosas que mas me gusto fue participar en las temporadas de batallas por rango por dos motivos, el primero; era desafiante y entretenido y el segundo por las recompensas. Las recompensas mas "destacadas" eran poder conseguir el Crucero Flint (logrando llegar 3 veces a rango 1 en distintas temporadas) y el Destructor Black (llegar a rango 1 en 5 temporadas distintas). También estaban las banderas por alcanzar el rango 1: Jolly Roger, Jolly Roger II, III y IV. mas las banderas conmemorativas por alcanzar rango 15 en cada temporada. Lo cual me daba un objetivo, una meta, la razón por la cual jugar batallas "ranked" Mi problema ahora es el siguiente: he conseguido llegar 3 veces a rango 1 (9°, 10° y 11° temporada) y para mi sorpresa no he desbloqueado el crucero Flint ni las banderas Jolly Roger II y III lo cual me hace suponer lo obvio, de alcanzar rango 1 dos veces mas, tampoco obtendré el destructor Black ni la bandera Jolly roger IV. Así que la conclusión mas lógica; wargaming elimino estas recompensas por que........porque si? sin avisar y aunque avisaran que clase de recompensa es esa hacia los jugadores que llevan mas tiempo y que han buscado lo mismo que yo. Por mi parte me retiro del juego hasta saber si esto es un problema temporal o si es definitivo. Y de ser así pues me retiro definitivamente, porque a mi y a cualquiera, creo, no ha de gustarle que te quiten cosas o contenido cuando uno espera lo contrario.

    RN CL Dido Premium Proposal

    Hello everyone, This is my first post. :) I would like to suggest this ship as a new premium and like to discuss what would it be like if it was actually added to the game. HMS Dido The reason why I chose this ship is because I would like to entertain the thought of having a RN Atlanta. Having similar armament, it would have a reload time around 5 seconds and just like the Atlanta, have unlimited charges of the DFAA consumable because of its AA build. Some difference would be the shell type. Being a RN cruiser, it can only fire AP shells with the special RN ballistics while Atlanta could fire both types. While the Atlanta has HE and Radar, Dido trades these off for heal and smoke, making it different in terms of handling from Atlanta and Flint. However, because of its armament, it would have similar range like the Atlanta requiring the player to adapt to a similar game play of Atlanta. So what specs, consumables, or other stuff should the ship have while keeping it relatively balanced?
