Didn't get premium time when adding tags on steam
pragmus posted a topic in Game Support and Bug Reporting
There is an event titled "Apply a Tag -- Get 1 Day of Warships Premium Account" where we add tags to the game object in steam and then post a comment. I did this on 11/10 and never received that premium game time. Followed the directions exactly. Anyone else have this happen? Is the premium game time awarded at a certain date and I just didn't wait long enough?- 3 replies

Hello All. I want to ask for some clarification from players that have bought the Transformers Permanent Camo from past events. My questions dont seem to have been addressed before. 1. Are the unique transformers animations (ie: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream) only present/active on deck during the event? After the event is over you won't see them in the game on your ship's permanent camo? 2. The August Von Parseval Starscream permanent camo features F-15 jets on deck as skins for the usual propeller prop planes. Once the Transformers event is over if you have purchased the permanent ship camo does the F-15 fighter plane skins stay afterwards and usable in the game modes Random, Rank battles? Also can other players see the F-15 plane skins flying around in the game match even after the event is over? Would really appreciate if someone can give me some straight answers. Thanks in advance.

Battleship Concept: USS Nevada Tier VII Event Ship
Metallocomotive posted a topic in American Battleships
Some of us know of the American legend known as the USS Nevada. This is a battleship that started her life at the same time the Titanic sank, 1912. She was commissioned in 1916, and lived most of her life out at sea. She participated in several famous events, such as the bombing at Pearl Harbor, where she rescued the crew of the Arizona and escaped. Further more, she was the flagship at the Allies last push against the tyranny of the Nazi Reich, D-Day. Despite the punishment she took over her many years of service, Nevada could not be sunk. And when the US Navy had no need of her, she proved even a challenge for them, surviving two nuclear bombs, and a detonator withing her hull. It finally took the combined firepower of several US warships for 5 long days, and a single torpedo that was armed at point blank range before the Nevada finally succumbed to her wounds. Even in death, the USS Nevada sits upright 3 miles off the coast of Honolulu, with her 48 starred American flag, flying proud under the ocean's surface. Right, onto the part that 80% of you actually came here for, the gameplay concept! Please keep in mind, I am using the statistics from the World War 2 refit of the Nevada. Stats: HP - 65,000 Torpedo Protection - 40% Main Battery: 10 x 14 inch guns (3 x 2 turrets, 2 x 2 turrets) Reload Time: 30 seconds Secondary Battery: 12 x 5 inch/51 caliber guns (6 per side, single barrel turrets), 8 x 5 inch/25 caliber guns (4 per side, single barrel turrets) AA: 32 x 40mm Bofors AA guns (8 in 4 housings), 40 x 20mm Oerlikon cannons (Single barrel housing) Top speed: 19 knots Rudder shift: 16.5 seconds Equipment: Damage Control Damage Repair (It's like the British, but only with slightly less stats, 55%) Spotter Plane (No Fighter. This Spotter Plane has 4 charges, the cooldown is only 60 seconds without the Premium, but it only lasts 35 seconds) Reload Booster (Special type: Only increases the Reload time of Secondary Batteries) (Please note: This is a concept, so of course with your help, we can fix these stats at any time) The Nevada will be a unique ship, as it will be the first ship in World of Warships that will require you to own 3 other American Battleships that served alongside this legend, leading up to a special mission at the end. This is a four part mission, and will take quite a bit of doing to get this stubborn old gal of the American Navy. Requirements: Tier VII - Colorado Tier VI - New Mexico Tier VI - Arizona Mission 1/4: Deal 7,311,948 damage to U.S Battleships in the Tier VI New Mexico (Bonus points for those of us who got the reference. Give yourself a cookie.) Mission 2/4: Win and Survive in 6 matches in a row in the Tier VII Colorado (Divisions are allowed) Mission 3/4: Earn 4 unique medals in the Tier VI Arizona; 1 x Dreadnought, 1x Fireproof, 1x Devastating Strike, 1 x First Blood Mission 4/4: Join a Division consisting of Tier VI Arizona, Tier VI New Mexico, and Tier VII Colorado. Deal over 300,000 combined damage, sink 6 ships between you (That's as a team, not physically between you. Or do, I don't care), survive, and win the match. After completing all these tasks, you will then receive a key, which will unlock a special operation just for you. You may take any ship from Tier 6 to Tier 8, as long as they are of the US Navy. This mission will be named, "Showdown of the Fighting Spirits", and it's a 1 vs 1 match with a USS Nevada. That's right, you have to sink the USS Nevada to win. If you succeed, you will get the ship in your Port. Failure, results with you having to do Mission 4/4 again to get another key. I should mention though that the USS Nevada, like the Unique Captains you can fit to your ship, also comes with 3 Passive Abilities. Fighting Spirit: After being on fire for longer than 20 seconds, the HP you lost to the fire is repaired within 8 seconds. This ability only works once per battle. Tough As Old Boots: This ability activates after you lose half your health. You gain a temporary armor buff that increases all your armor by 10mm, and this lasts for 3 minutes. This ability only works once per battle. Final Detonation: (Brace yourself, this one's a doozy) After you're sunk, you emit a powerful AOE explosion that deals 5,000 Damage to enemy ships within a 7.0 km radius of Nevada. Further more, this explosion stays as a circle, similar to a smokescreen, though it doesn't offer any concealment. Instead, this sickly green cloud is filled with radiation, and any enemy ships that travel in it suffer a decrease in health similar to having a single fire onboard your ship. This radiation cloud lasts 2 minutes and 15 seconds. (This is a testament to the same radiation that Nevada was subjugated to when she took those two nuclear warheads and didn't sink.) I believe that with the help of the community, and maybe the attention of Wargaming themselves, we can rebuild this American legend in our game. And though it may be a long time before we can raise the Nevada from her grave, we should at least be able to appreciate her glory and her fighting spirit in World of Warships. -
LOL does anyone else feel as though there are some tasks in the Part two of the Euro Destroyer event missions that are far beyond the scope of an average player? Don't think anyone but the top players will complete the new mission set. Maybe a waste of time...

So, with the AL event arriving in Legends, do we have an ETA on around when the next collaboration will be? My guess is around April/May but some clarification might be nice. Another thing, will we be getting the awesome skins that the ships in Legends and Blitz have? Would really love to have the Graf Zep and Graf Speee camos, and the Hipper one on Legends looks epic! Not trying to rush things or anything, just wondering.

You know what I love about the new event?!...
CAPTAIN_JACK_HOLDEN posted a topic in General Game Discussion
The fact that, even if you complete the entire event, you're NOT garenteed ANY of the new ships. -
So for a moment picture your a executive working at WG. You are looking over the budget, seeing how much was spent on the art etc and you want to design a event that will make money for the event. How would you build the event? Lets keep this constructive. For me, the art involved in building PR is a good idea. The points per minute was a bad idea because a lot of players do not have the foresight to plan ahead. I know they wanted to keep the distribution limited to a select few who could get the ship, but in that case why put so much money into the art and leave 99% of the player base frustrated that they could not finish said ship? This does not seem like a good idea. Lets build the current plan up in bullet points. These are the positives. * Build your own ship. * Great art and animation for the process These are the negatives * Nearly impossible grind. New players have no hope of finishing this thing. When there is a big event, players should feel like they should win. This is a game, not a job. * Pressure to accomplish on top of snowflake event. double dipping for most. Here is how I think it should have been handled. First of all. I would give all players 2 months of premium time going into this event. This would be seen as a short term loss but all players would get to experience having a premium account and I think this would give them a long term gain by people wanting to keep their premium going after trying it out. Plan A: Reduce the grind to 2/5ths of the current grind. Extend the timeline so that players have 8 weeks to accomplish the Puerto Rico. Have two premium boosters, one costing 4k doubloons, the second costing 6k doubloons. Make it so that if one is bought the grind is reasonable to play through 5 of 8 weeks and get the PR. With two boosters you will complete the PR but it will take 8 weeks. I suppose asking 8-10k doubloons for a instant completion would be "Okay" Plan B: Adjust the PR build to take all of 2020 with no boosting. Have no directives or grindy tasks to speed this up though. Do allow ship building tokens from completing daily missions so that buildings can be bought to speed the process up. Have premium boosters be purchasable. The plan should allow for a 6 month completion time without premium boosters, a 3 month completion time or less with premium boosters, or sure a outright purchase for again a 20k doubloon total price if you wanted to buy it outright. I am okay with this as a player. Plan C: Do not go with a build system, instead show animation to players as they accomplish objectives, either set it up as a weekly task format they are familiar with. Everyone gets to play the missions and unlock the ships at the same time. Plan D: Just give everyone who is playing the game a Puerto Rico for Christmas as a apology for a badly managed event and refund any and all doubloons spent. Plan E: Something else. How would you all like to see it go? Please post your own ideas as well or tweaks to ideas.

So... someone at WG lost their mind multiplied the directive requirements by 10 or they don't want you to complete it; because the directives are insane, the directive number 7 is super insane and someone did the math and to complete Puerto Rico freely you'll need to complete every directive within 12 hours because remember of the 32 days of the event you will have 17-4 days of per minute construction points gain and after that you will need to pay points or cash to complete it..... so good luck?
-
Just figured out something cool for everyone on the event, with no effort or any extra points being made so fully free... Total time left in the event is 38,580 minutes, you gain 131 points/minute so multiply the two and you get 5,053,980 points, each bar in the ship builder is equal to 350K exp so divide the 5mil by 350k and you get 14.44 which translates into bars. So now we know a free player will earn Stage 3 reward 2 with no effort on Puerto Rico.

As a community, rather then throwing a tantrum, What I'd suggest is to list ways that You feel Wargaming can fix this problem. Please, serious suggestions only. And no rants.

Which fleet was the German fleet to do battle with? The French? The British? No sir, it was the Russians! In September 1941 German army and air forces launched their initial assault on the port city of Leningrad where the Russian Baltic Fleet was stationed. The Germans feared that the Russian Baltic fleet might attempt to make a break for it and escape capture or destruction. The German battleship Tirpitz had only just completed her working up trials and had just been declared ready for combat when, on the 23rd of September, she received orders to sail from Swinemunde to join up with the newly formed Baltenflotte as its flagship. The German fleet sailed North-East to Foglofjord, arriving at 14:05 on the 24th, where they anchored and waited for the expected breakout of the Soviet Baltic Fleet. The Soviets never set sail, their fleet had been badly damaged the day before by German air raids while anchored in Kronstadt which saw their battleship Marat sunk. On the 25th it became clear that the Soviet fleet was in no condition to attempt a breakout and the German Baltenflotte was disbanded. Still, It begs the question... What if the air attacks failed? What if the Russian Baltic fleet attempted a breakout? What if these two battle fleets engaged? The resulting clash would have been the largest battle between two battleship fleets of the war in Northern waters! Went to try the Raid for the Filth, and of course people had to take advantage. Bad enough that the other teams were divisions, and we were not, but the other two teams were from the same guild and cooperating. They killed everyone not in the guild (that didn't flee). In my book, that's cheating. I know there's only so much WG can do, but they could at least scan for people in the same guild on different teams.

Pretty much given up on the French DD event.
anonym_WrAb0m0ydCdC posted a topic in General Game Discussion
I was really interested in doing this event, but realized this weekend there is no point in continuing. The amount of hours to complete the next stage for the tier 5 premium is just not worth it. As a new player the number and lines of ships I have is limited. I only have three lines of ships capable of doing the stages. I only had two, so this weekend I level up British DD's and was planning to do thee more lines (German, Japanese and Russian), but the work to get ships up to a tier where they can earn the credits in a timely manner, is just not worth the effort. This is not much of an issue for older players who have a number of high tier premium ships to use, but for me it is a huge amount of work. I don't run premium, except sometimes on the weekends, so the amount of work required to get this done is twice what a premium account requires and I don't have premium ships of other nationalities to complete all 6 directives. I seriously considered going premium and even had my finger on the button to do three months, but after this event I realized this game is turning into a grind fest, so I doubt I will ever move to a premium account. I've managed to open two of the bundle containers only because I got lucky and found two French destroyer missions, but I know that the odds of getting to the bundle containers, no matter how hard I work, are very poor. I could put in 30 hours in the next week and most likely never get to the 4th bundle. As a new player, I don't have near enough ships to get them with snowflakes, so I have to rely on lucky drops, which from what I have seen don't seem to be going in my favor, though I have been significantly luckier then a lot of people. I tried to complete the 2nd Twitch mission (hurt me) for a couple more crates, but it requires me to get 2750 base exp, which at least for me, is incredibly difficult. I have had 3-4 games, where I had enough kills and other flags to reach that amount, but my team lost and only ended up with half base exp I've needed. I stopped even trying yesterday. For new players, this event is a huge grind for little chance of getting the rewards. It seems extremely poorly designed, with no thought at all given to new players, or even older players that don't have a bunch of ships. If this is a sign of what's to come, why bother spending money, so I can grind. Lastly. Working so hard and getting so little in return is just not fun. I play to have fun and trying to complete the event has removed a lot of the fun from the equation. I feel completely defeated and just going to work on the normal mission crates and if I get the other rewards, so be it. Does anyone at Wargaming even understand how difficult they are making these events for new players? So I just finished the British line. Expected to see a nice French crate drop, but no, just a $300,000 credits. I thought, "what the hell" and took another look at the event. It appears the most I can hope for at this point is one French container from the French line. I wasn't lucky enough to get any of the tier 7,8,9 French DD's so I can't do any of the others unless I buy a bunch of premium ships. All the other crate drops require one of the higher end French DD's or premium ships (like the Acosta) from those lines, which I don't have. I cannot believe I wasted all this time on this. All this time to have no chance at all at getting the premium items unless I want to spend $100.00 on ships I might not even like. Are you kidding me? This is Wargaming's idea of a well designed event? What a pile of crap. I'm am sure this event will cause a lot of new players to just drop the game. I'm seriously considering uninstalling.- 64 replies

I have 26/48 daily missions done right now, will I be able to complete the daily mission for rouge wave? The one that gives 100 fuel points
-
MEGA EDIT: Picture was outdated, many people now have no idea what to pick so here goes: If you're able to go for maximum points in the day, go for the victorious team (Either if you win or lose, the victorious team receives better rewards but needs more points to get them). If you're not able to go for maximum or just want to get 500 and leave the game, go for the losing team of every day, this way you'll get to 500 points easier and will be on a deficit of a very small number...it's more like a quality of life. I for example am very busy atm so I picked the losing team for today and I expect to keep on going for those 500 points daily and only...or at least until Azur Lane event comes out and forces me to play more.

Hey guys, does anyone know if the space camos are going to be removed from the armory with 8.3 or is WG going to milk them for a bit longer (no offense, I want to buy all of them but they are expensive af)? I'm currently hoping to get some money to spend in the next week and would be very sad if they are fully removed tomorrow. But, such is life sometimes. I just haven't seen anything official on that.

Thank-you, World of Warships for a great time at Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts. Admission was Free (save $25.00) if you pre-registered with WoW, though apparently even WoW was not aware of this. Overhearing the clerk advise a new visitor of the complimentary free admission, while perusing the geedunk in the gift shop after I paid, I asked if their was a discount in conjunction with the WoW event, and she happily refunded me after showing my pre-registration. I was very pleasantly surprised, but have to say that I told several fellow attendees about this throughout the day, of the 6-7 , all but 1 were unaware, having paid the full admission. I am certainly not complaining, just a missed opportunity to enhance the event's positive karma and probably attendance as well. Battleship Cove is fascinating and well worth two full days if you are a museum hound. The February date meant we had no crowds and superb opportunity to linger over interesting items though you needed to have dressed warmly, unless staying in the mess area with the PC's and the snack bar. Warm weather is more comfortable but I preferred the unencumbered access. In addition, WoW was freely offering $100 discount cards for new players, or new accounts, this included some free lower tier ships, doubloons, etc. I will be handing out a couple to hope to bring more players. Special thanks to event volunteer Joshua for his good and thoughtful gaming advice. Thanks again Wow for a great time!

Fair Advisory First off, this may not apply to those who did not partake in the Santa box event. For those of you among us who are trying to get legislation pass to outlaw/protect, all power to you guys. Just don't sour the fun of others with your political views. You have been advised For the meantime, those of us who partake in the fun. This my haul, and I am asking for help on the following ships. I got 20 MEGA boxes, IMO this year without the inclusion of premium time (WOWS or WG) it did felt a nerfed. But Value wise its up to the individual the judge as to the value I got back. That is why we have the forums to discus it. So here is my haul. ( yeah I was a little tardy in pulling the trigger but in the end I made an informed decision). 20 Camo -- New years 30 Dragon Signals 20 camo-- New years 875 coal 12,500 coal 30 Leviathan signals 2,000 doubs 875 coal 12,500 coal 2,000 dubs 20 Camo--- New Years New Ship--- T-61 (I need help with this one) 2,000 dubs 20 Camos---- New years 875 Coal 12,500 Coal 30 wyvern signals 2,000 dubs 30 hydra signals 30 scylia signals New ship Roma (Need help with this one too) 30 scylia signals New Ship Monaghan (and help wih this one) And that is it, that is what I have in the notifications tab (checked 5 times over). Just as advertised, you get mega boxes you're going to get the best signals/camos/dubs and a good chance for ships. Yeah I got 3 good ships, I just dont know how those ships fit into my aggressive play style. I may like the T-61, I wish for the Kami for which its in my play style but there is always next year! Spread the joy of the Holidays, I am stocked up on Premium time, I gave myself a treat of Santa boxes. All I can say is thank you to WOWS staff for a great haul. I know I am critical and I am very opinionated. In this situation credits due where credits done.BTW (you not getting a pass for next year WOWS staff, but for now I can say I am content lol). Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa. Happy Hanukkah Happy New year my fellow gamers.
