  1. So according to the devblog CVs are getting auto-airstrikes to deal with SSs. Personally I don't think they needed this, there are carriers that can easily take down submarines(Ranger, Saratoga, Lowenhardt) and others that shouldn't bother. But that's not important, my confusion is as to the consumable itself. Why an airstrike and not a 3rd or 4th squadron? And why make it automatic? You have all these other battleships & cruisers that need to select their airstrike's target, but you make it automatic for the one type whose main focus is flying planes*? Shouldn't it be the other way around, give the battleships & cruisers automatic ASW airstrikes while the carriers do it manually? *ignore that shouting, those are the gunners & loaders on my Weser
  2. Just saw this on the devblog: Satou Ichiro is the Japanese engineer from the Lighthouse Auction series. We've already seen the German, Soviet, and British auctions. Since the American (Murphy) is nowhere to be seen, it's logical to assume that the next Auction is going to be Japanese. Any thoughts on what ship will be given? Maybe the new Tier 10 CL for Nippon?

  4. Since not all have the luxury to watch the Waterline episode right now, here's the devblog post. Mods feel free to remove the post if it causes issues. What I see is a way to remove more credits from the game and address some of the inflation, which isn't a bad thing. There are players with hundreds of millions or billions of credits that can easily afford running these ships for long periods of time.     Devblog on medium gone?

    Any attempts to access the devblog on wows currently seem to resolve in a 404. This is somewhat concerning as there's supposed to be a devblog there and I'm not particularly fond of going to the facebook page for my updates, and I hope the issue is resolved or just somehow on my end (a weird caching issue, maybe?)
  7. Hi all I think it is about time to start discussing something else besides Cv’s. Per a recent dev log announcement or should I say developer corner we know that a version of a modernized Azuma will be placed at Tier 10 which I will call Yoshino in this thread and that the original Azuma will be Tier 9 with Tier balance adjustments. With that out of the way let’s talk about what we know for certain. 1. Added torpedo launchers 2. Strengthened AA 3. Hopes to be tested live in 3-4 updates per the reddit thread on the Azuma downtiering from @Sub_Octavian himself. Now the real questions are 1. 310mm guns or 356mm guns? 2. Armor all around? 3. Torpedo type? 4.how strong of an AA platform? 5. Coal or steel ? 6. Any other questions that are brought up etc... let the speculation begin on Yoshino
