  1. Hello, I'd like to share a fix to an old problem I've encountered. The game constantly crashed in a setup that is well above the recommended requirement. My setup has no mod, drivers are up to date, and the game is a new clean install. When a crash happen, the behavior is similar to what's described here: Or here: In my case, the game was unplayable because crashes happen constantly and randomly. I've managed to stay online for 30 minutes once, but most of the time, it crashes within 10 minutes. This holiday, I contacted WG tech support who helped find the root cause. It turned out my new Asus motherboard came bundled with Nahimic Service, which created background processes that caused the crash. If you encounter the same issue, I'd recommending disabling the service in system configuration and making sure it is not running in the background when playing the game. I wouldn't recommend uninstalling it because it is in system32 folder. Task manager can also be used to end the processes, although it took me some tries. I've not seen anyone share this fix so far, so I'm documenting it here and hope it'll help people with the same issue.

    Critical Error

This is getting ridiculous. After EVERY game a window pops up with "Critical Error Reported" and I have to restart. I've already run 'Check and Repair'. That did absolutely nothing. I've done it twice today and I'm done. I'll check back in a week... maybe.

    A Critical Error has Occurred

Signed on last night and as soon as I got to the "desk image " which illustrates a ship on a desk, I receive a "A Critical Error has Occurred" msg. Pls see image below. Two options are presented in the error message, and both just lead to a game shutdown. I have attempted to sign on several times since, with the same results. I am on an iMac, running Mohave 10.14.6. Suggestions?
