So here's potentially a new Tinfoil Commander Cap Theory (TCCT). Those of you who know your ships/guns pretty well, know where to target for cits and/or heavy damage. There's a few of you, I can say on a couple ships yeah, I know the how to and wherefore... You fire your first salvo. Dispersion everywhere. Wow you think... that was ugly. So you load up your next salvo at the reds who have moved closer and fire. Out of ten or twelve main battery rounds you get one hit, a pen but no damage. Hmm... you keep the faith, reload and get closer to the reds... you're now 12 to 15 km away, in your known-to-you BB. A cruiser shows broadside. "Mine now buddy!" You fire. Miss completely. At this point, I propose you consider, WoWS has poisoned the RNG of your main batteries. I can find no other reasonable explanation. Can you? Then please share. 'Cause I know if my first two salvos are solid, we're likely to win, not because of me but because the RNG is not against us. Sure enough, I see many of us on our team scoring hits. I believe this has far more control over the wins/losses than player match up by match making. If you think about it, doing this would be the easiest/fastest way to balance matches. In any case, the Tinfoil Commander Cap is on.
I think it was NoZoupForYou that mentioned an upcoming RU BB line split. I seem to recall everyone saying he misspoke. You notice misspoke could almost be an action verb? See it? Well I took it upon myself to secure the Kremlin immediately. I was on the Vlad at the time, fine ship. Off to the races and a week, maybe two the Kremlin now sits in my port. Well... not sit, she's constantly being prepped for her next outing. I have to say the Soyuz was a bucket of fun. I slapped all the boost signal flags I could on her and played her like a broken record. I liked her enough to leave her 16 point commander aboard for future 19'ness grinding. I yanked the commander of my Moskva over to the Kremlin, retrained him and voila. She seems, to me, to be lighter on her feet than my Yamato. I think they stole the Yamato gun sound for her though... but silly thing is this... Her ship's horn is well... nothing great. Maybe you devs can buff it so she sounds like a pack of screaming banshees?
We're going hardcore tonight: I'm unlocking the German Tier 4 carrier. Gonna do some Midway and GZ games...and will be opening containers. May very very very well offer some loot today for subscribers. Open to divs as well, lets have some fun people!
How many of you play tier X CVs since the update? I play tier 8 and below because the AA is unrealistically high at tier X and my tier 8 planes lose a squadron to attack with 3 planes. I am constantly getting up tiered to X with predictable results and un-satisfying game play. The planes do not survive a second attack on one or two ships grouped and no pilot would have survived WW2 with those losses! In reality planes made multiple passes on the Mushashi even without having any ammo left to attack during the Battle of the Phillipines during the close of WW2. ('Last stand of the Tin Can Sailors') In reality the CV had obsoleted the BB by the middle of the Pacific war and should be able to do more damage than any late war BB per battle. Airplanes and submarines sank the tonnage, it's not what you want to hear and I do want ships to be the main focus of WOW, but the tier X AA needs serious nerffing. Or are there equal numbers of tier X CV players still, even though I never see them at tier 8, and I am often drafted into tier 10?
