  1. Should I get Jean Bart or Georgia in the armory?
  2. Hello everyone! I would like some insight on a ship I have had my eyes on for a while in the armory. That ship is the pride of the Polish navy: the Blyskawica! I know that this ship has been in the game for a long time, and only recently noticed it is available to purchase for coal in the armory, along with Aigle and some other ships as well. I read LittleWhiteMouse's review on the ship, which was posted back in 2017. I realize that the game has changed a lot since then, which is the main reason I am posting this. I would like some more modern insight into the ship, and whether it is worth it. From what I can tell, the guns are the bread and butter of the ship. Seven 120mm anti naval rifles with gun arcs similar to the Soviet DD's (which are my favorite line in the game - Tashkent FTW), and good damage with decent reload. The ship has a lot of health for a tier VII destroyer, and maneuvers quite well with a good amount of speed. Of course, the torpedoes and the AA are trash from what I have heard. This isn't new to me coming from the Soviet destroyers, but I understand for some people it is a deal breaker. The main reason this ship interests me is the similar play style to the Soviet destroyers and that she is overall fun to play from what I have heard. Also have heard she is good for printing credits. So, what do you guys think of the current Blyskawica? Is it worth spending the coal on?

    Coming back

Well, after letting the game rest for some time I have come back. And I feel, should have waited for the relesase of subs A few battles in, and every thing that chased me out of the game is still present: Radar still goes trought solid rock. Fire chance and damage continue to be some major [edited] Ships sniping you from inside smoke screens with perfect aim. Ships sitting in the smoke screen while their AAA wipe out planes. NO GERMAN SHIP FOR COAL Thera are things I like: CVs rework, MM balance, all the containers collection on the arsenal and the new autopilot, I think I am going to stay a little longer to see if the introduction of subs forces WG to make other changes (nice to see that you apparently cant Sonar Ping ships trought islands)
  5. I was on the fence for playing on in ranked after I was stuck at rank 9. But since I would miss the Flint by 200 steel I gave it a try. The last battle not only got me to rank 8, I also got the missing 150 coal, from the daily mission, for the Smolensk. One battle, winning the two egg twins. And now some songs for the rest of the day And ofc for reaching finally the Flint

    Got the JB

Just recently got the Jean Bart with coal out of the Armory. Very pleasantly surprised. First ship with all forward facing guns. Just my opinion it's design has a advantage over the other forward facing BB's with the fact there is just two turrets. stacked, so can face directly ahead or slightly angled on bow and still give a "broadside" without having to show broadside. Longer range than anticipated. Just hadn't really researched main battery range. Fairly nimble, reload booster, speed booster. A well designed battlecruiser in my opinion. Smaller calibre rifles is the only reason I say that. A nice compliment of 2ndaries. Overall, I give it a thumbs up. If anybody was thinking of getting it. Speaking personally, I don't think you will regret it.
  7. What is the fastest way to get coal? I want to be able to get some premium ships by getting coal, and I would like to know what the fastest way to get coal is. I would also like to know what the fastest way to get free exp, and exp is. I am on the German tier 8 Bismarck, and I want to know what the fastest way to get credits and exp is. If someone would be so kind as to tell me, I will try my best to attempt to get it done. 😀
  8. Hello, I am UCCMaster1 I am an average level player. My WTR is 51% and my PR is pretty crap. But I have 3 tier X ships and actively play on a daily basis both on NA server and PTS when its out (I do it because it's an excuse to try out lines I normally don't play, you know, testing). If you're on Notser's discord, you probably have seen me messing around in the weebville/shitposting chat. My question is as follows: So I hear that the Yoshino is coming out soon and want to know: why should I be buying the Yoshino with all my hard earned coal? I'm a cruiser main who plays a lot of Zao (I'm starting to get good at her). So wouldn't the Yoshino be a great addition as well? I also watched Notser's video on Yoshino and got the idea that the ship was poor in survivability but great at HE spam. Basically I need to find a reason why I should not invest in the Yoshino (aka it being a waste of coal). I've been told the Salem isn't worth it and I hated the Richelieu so I didn't think I would like the Jean Bart. Are there other coal ships coming down the line I can be looking forward to?
  9. I am sitting on a bunch of coal and wondering what I should do with it. Are any of the coal ships worth having? Toying with the idea of picking up something French, maybe the JB or .Aigle. I am interested i any thoughts or recommendations regarding the coal ships in the arsenal. thanks

  12. May have missed it, was there a note about ARP ships earning coal instead of steel? All of mine so far have awarded coal, even though they are technically premium ships.
  13. Hello i am still new here and these are my thoughts about the new economy system: My instincts are telling me that something isn't right with the Steel/Coal economy. See at the start "nobody" had steel or coal but at least you could get it on containers(supercontainers) i made this calculations if you get 2 coal containers and complete the first daily mission you get a minimum of 1000 coal so if you play every day you will get a minimum of 30000 coal per month. now lets say that you want a ship lets say the Musashi priced at 180000 coal; you can add a coupon and reduce the price to 120000 coal but that's at least 4 months of grind and thats a lot of grind now lets think about coal and pricing at the most in one day if you get very lucky you can get at a maximum 4000 coal so thats good but almost impossible of getting every day for 30 days straight. Now about coal ships pricing... One could say that their prices are very much in line with the regular ships: Musashi 180000 coal - Izumo 178000 xp Salem 240000 coal - Des Moines 237500 xp Black 14000 Steel/140000 coal(converted) - Fletcher 158000 xp these prices are about right until now. from now on we should see prices like these: Jean Bart 226000 coal - Alsace 190000 xp Bourgogne 30000 steel/ 300000 coal (converted) - Republique 260000 xp Stalingrad 28000 steel/ 280000 coal (converted) - Moskva 235000 xp Because before we had artificial scarcity and now people are starting to retain some coal, and these prices will continue to go up and yes i know you cant convert coal into steel (yet(they introduced 3 new rare metal categories, but for what you might ask...... hum? )) i do think that they will allow us to convert doubloons into steel rather than coal into steel but for that they would need to get their pricing right (and destroy/reprice the current grind shenanigans for coal and remove some ships cuz they would be to cheap for us to buy). lets discuss it below
  14. Hello, this is a direct request for WG staff / community managers regarding release of new T9 Premium ships and removal of existing ones. Can we get a confirmation on whether or not the USS Alaska will be release before or after the removal of Musashi / Kronstadt? If we cannot get information above, can we AT LEAST get information on how the Alaska will be sold before the removal of Musashi / Kronstadt? I currently have enough free XP /coal to get Musashi and Kronstadt. But I want to save them to get Alaska, then I like to use the other currency to get one of Musashi/ Kronstadt. I cannot buy either Musashi or Kronstadt right now because I don't know how / when Alaska will be sold. Since it is confirmed that both of old T9 premiums will be removed soon, I like the above information so I can make judgement on what ships I can purchase with the currencies I have. Please, WG, give us more information regarding the Alaska before you remove the Musashi / Kronstadt so we can actually make purchasing decisions in a timely manner. Thank you
  15. Take it with a grain of salt, but it appears Jean Bart has been leaked as a coal ship Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/9t005b/jean_bart_appears_to_be_a_coal_ship/
  16. i don't know where to post this and im sure nothing can be done but, earlier i choose to get a resource container but it gave me a super container. Thinking, cool im going to get alot of resources but it gave me camo. There is nothing wrong with the camo its good and looks good but i was wondering if you could just take the 50 camos and my free xp and just give me 56,770 coal. List of reasons why: 1. 17. So as a Yeuyang, enthusiast, I was working out my build for the above legendary upgrade, and I finally paid attention to what slot it went in...slot 5. Fun fact: Slot 5 in where concealment systems modification usually goes. So that means Yeunyang goes from 5.8km concealment to 6.5km. (in practical terms this would mean the Yeuyang can now be spotted from space by other sneaky style dds, and can even be shadowed by them without the other guy being detected...and all this without torps that can touch other dds. This is a self-nerf of the 1st order. Hard pass.
  18. OK, so i just got enough coal for the Salem with the coupon, should i get it or wait? i don't have Des Moines and don't really plan in grinding it anytime soon as i'm committed to to many other lines. so i've been considering just getting Salem instead and skipping the line all together. i also see that there are a lot of premiums around the corn the i would want more than Salem like Jean Bart ,the unknown T10 French BB, and Alaska and what ever else they may be cooking up. however we don't know how any of these will be sold i really want a Salem or Des Moines so this would be an easy out, Salem is said to be able to be a bit more aggressive play style over Des Monies which aligns with my play style better so given the choice i'd pick Salem anyway to avoid a debate over player skill: i also understand there is the whole "learn the line, through the Grind" thing, however i feel confident in my skills enough to say it would only take me a short time to get used to it. espesaly because balti and buffalo don't really play like Des Moines anyway. id like to mention i do have Worcester and mino so i'm used to island and radar and glass ships also i'm at Pensacola now and would probably free XP most of the remaining ships to get to des moines as i have little interest in playing New Orleans, Baltimore or buffalo(most likley free xp half way ish) so the bottom line question here is... is the Salem a good enough substitute for the Des Moines to justify the price on Coal and skipping the line?
  19. I'm at 66,100 lumps of coal... or is that metric tonnes? In any case, the number is 66.1KoC. What to do with it? My first instinct is to just forget it exists, maybe check in once a month to see what's there. When they implemented coal, I started with 45K or 49K - don't remember. But as it is now, i've earned through various channels ~ 20K coal... which seems like a lot. I'm 1/3rd of the way to the Salem, a tier X ship. At a rate much faster than I expected. You think the coal handouts will start slowing soon? The Salem is my target if I save it. But hey - I want to know what you guys are doing. How fast you collecting it? Are you spending it? Any tips to maximize the collection of it? So on and so forth! TIAFYC

    Well ain't that..

.. A fine How do you do. first SC in like 3 months...
  21. So I ended up actually getting a little lucky and got a ton of coal.I have 135k coal (With the 25% discount the musashi costs 132k coal) I do also have 980k free xp as well. Figure why not get the Mushashi, it seems like a great boat for tier 9. But what do you guys think? Also, I have 0 steel, so no chance of saving the coupon for a steel ship. =(
  22. So here I was, all set to get myself some coal... saw the little "this is new" WG button on the container choices, dutifully chose the "more resources" option, and... WHAMO! Super container... Containing 1,000 doubloons! Now, don't get me wrong, that was awesome, but... Is this some ploy to get people to choose coal? I would have done it anyway! GG Wargaming, and thanks for the doubloons WoWS NA!!! ~Beorn

    Couple of questions

Hey guys got a couple of questions, First, if you get a ship like the black or salem which are tier 9-10 premium ships, do you make even more credits? How much credits do those ships make compared to other tier 8 premiums? Second, why aren't there any German ships in the Arsenal for purchase? I am feeling like I should shoot for the black or salem cause I would like to earn a good credit maker ship. I prefer German ships, but as there aren't any I don't mind settling with french or american ships. Which ship out of the ones available in the Arsenal is the best credit maker? Thanks
  24. I've opened a ticket but not found other threads so I thought I'd see if it is just me. This has nothing to do with the other bug folks are reporting about clan oil > coal stuff. My issue is my balance of coal is not changing - stuck - since initial allotment when coal arrived. I am earning more - got some in a container tonight and via a daily achievement. Still, no change to my balance. Anyone else?

    Coal And Steel Economics

I noticed now that in this clan war season, gold is no longer offered as a reward for reaching higher divisions. But to compensate, they seem to be very generous with their steel distribution, though reaching typhoon, there is only enough steel for some of the lower tiered premiums. Is this a new tiered economics where gold is still the top followed by coal/steel with credits on the bottom? Will steel/coal ever become the middle man between gold and credit?
