Because not many people have it and it is rarely discussed

Alas! as had been prophesied: If you don't smoke, you ain't much. And IMO, shaking the meta using bans is not an easy endeavor, the smoke line-up is extensive: Optimal pick: Huang-he Crawling smoke surrogates: Perth, Mysore Static smoke surrogate: Leander Fat guy smoking in a chair: London Plus DDs... It isn't like you'll get rid of smoke by banning 1 or 2 ships. Even if you ban the cruisers you'll be pushing a DD heavy meta... would it open the way for more BB heavy metas? What do you think?

The latest season of clan battles reminded of me the total lack of premium T9 non-super cruiser options. I mostly played in USS Alaska, which is not as good as it once was due to the loss of fire prevention. I find it curious that WG has not released any premium non-super cruisers at this tier. I consider T9 tech tree cruisers to be weak for their tier when compared to their T10 successors (e.g. USS Buffalo vs USS Des Moines), unlike several T9 tech tree DDs and even some BBs. In addition, many have some glaring vulnerability (e.g. HMS Drake's rear turret firing angles). Instead of a steady stream of more premium cruisers at T8, or more premium T9 CBs, why not cash in on the considerable pent up demand for balanced premium T9 CAs or CLs? Here are a few ideas based on ships that actually were built: USS Rochester - This ship belonged to the successor to the Baltimore class heavy cruiser, the Oregon City class. It was in service from 1946 to 1961. Here is how to bring the ship to the game: Start with a fully upgraded Baltimore Add a few thousand hit points Add a repair party and upgrade slot 6 (like all T9 cruisers get) Adjust the radar consumable to last 35 s (consistent with other T9 US cruisers) Increase turret rotation speed by 1 degree per second Decrease rudder shift by 0.5 - 1.0 s Slightly improve AA continuous damage to reflect historical AA battery and the better firing angles offered by the smaller super structure of this class Everything else stays virtually identical to the USS Baltimore The cool thing about Rochester is we know WG can balance what would essentially be a T9 Baltimore since that is where the ship was slated prior to the US cruiser CA/CL split. USS Fargo - This ship belonged to the successor to the Cleveland class light cruiser, and was the lead ship of the Fargo class. It was in service from 1945 to 1950. Here is how to bring the ship to the game: Start with a fully upgraded Cleveland Add a few thousand hit points Add a repair party and upgrade slot 6 (like all T9 cruisers get) Adjust the radar consumable to last 35 s (consistent with other T9 US cruisers) Decrease rudder shift by around 0.5 s Improve her concealment by -200 to -300 m Slightly improve AA continuous damage to reflect historical AA battery and the better firing angles offered by the smaller super structure of this class. Her AA should not be quite as strong as USS Seattle's because she did not have a dual purpose main battery. Everything else stays virtually identical to the USS Cleveland I'll do some further research on other historical T9 premium non-super cruisers that could be added to the game. One that comes to mind is the already in development: HMS Tiger. Maybe add HE shells, or a short range hydro and some more hit-points and up-tier her to T9? If anyone has any other cruisers that could fit in this category, historical or not, please share below. Thanks!

First restrictions of Clan Battles announced (Musashi,Georgia banned, Alaska(s), Mogador 1x limit).
warheart1992 posted a topic in General Game Discussion
Since it's recently been a topic of discussion, these are the restrictions for the Clan season. https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/128 Not a CB player, though afaik the bans/limits make sense. Mogador packs were reported to be pretty common, Musashi without CVs and overmatch capability was in a strong spot, Georgia with the quick heals, 30mm overmatch capability and nigh DD speed. Wondering what CB players have to comment on these changes. -
I don't know if this has been address probably already but I don't like the way you get steel this season. More of a headache and takes the fun out of CBs. What is everyone else's thoughts on the season.

Founds this on the EU forum. I havent seen this posted on this forum yet, so i thought id spread some awareness. There is currently work undergoing on an effort by about 100 EU and NA clans to boycott the upcoming CB seasons unless carriers are changed/removed from the mode. Here is the invite message to the discord server: "For those of you unaware, this past season of clan wars included aircraft carriers, the class that functionally removed destroyers and battleships from the game mode. Due to this, and how utterly terrible and boring this past season was, a number of NA and EU clans have begun to gather to attempt to coordinate a boycott of clan battles if carriers are to be in the game mode in the future. Maps and their cap layouts should be included in the CB season overview.
ThatsAPaladin posted a topic in General Game Discussion
This season's maps are Hotspot, Sea of Fortune, Mountain Range, Neighbors, Trident, and Greece. Of these, only Hotspot had an actual image, because it was using a new cap layout, while the others "use the domination mode" (it is unspecified which layout is used for maps with multiple layouts. This is unacceptably ambiguous: the wiki has no cap layouts at all (Greece doesn't even have an image), and while I'm sure most of us remember the cap layouts, Hotspot, for an example, has had several different layouts recently in competitive modes. Greece has two layouts: one from ranked and the other from randoms. The only place you can actually check the layouts is a training room, and those aren't always correct for competitive anyway. You haven't been shy with filling us in on everything else, why are you skimping out on the maps? It's inconvenient to players at best, when they should just be under an expandable section like the missions are.- 5 replies

As the subject says, is it fun to play with that boat? Usually I do not usually do these topics. But, now I will tell you about my experience and maybe some people agree with me and some do not. let's start The boat has an excellent maneuverability, its turrets rotate very well, can hold very well the impacts of light and some heavy cruisers. aesthetically the ship is beautiful. Very fast recharge time 18.5 s 16 s with the improvements But! Let's talk about the most important thing. It has a pessimism secondary weapons, bad AA, a shield that in theory should withstand large impacts oh at least 330 mm front and 275mm back. in theory it works against lighter cruisers, but against 406 it is excellent for you to make a penetration and make citadel very easily, Even the 380mm of the bismark, at least some cruisers do them on penetration. in this case the armor works against this ship, of course I do not say it's wrong. Something bad must always have the boat. And as we know it is a hunter of cruseros, but if I tell you that your dispersion is bad but very bad that you can even fail to 8km? And not just once, many times in different games. They will apologize but I do not fail 8km with a republic. which has a 322m dispersion compared to the Kronshtadt ... 252mm. If you have bad AA bad secondary weapons, at least I ask WG to leave a good dispersion, the same story is repeated with the rome, to roma personally tell him not to buy it It has everything wrong even their guns dispersion malisima the NC to otherwise it is an excellent boat with one, I will not enjoy playing with it, personally, I have it with 19 points I have spent doubloons investigating what would be my best way of playing with the two boats, and I say NO FUN. of course I do not say that they are bad boats, but you will use more a boat if you have fun with it. I only ask that Kront's dispersion ... has improved the rest, it does not matter if he has good cannons, I do not want the same story to be repeated with Rome. For the time being I will tell you to get off the boat if you want, but 750,000 Exp ... It's not worth it. You will not enjoy playing with the boat, it is better to play with tirpitz than your disperception in theory is bad but really you will hurt the other boat. Shot that you make there, you will hit .. If you want to do a lot of damage, you will have to go through bad times and try harder than you should do with Zao or Des Moinds. Here I leave some where I put more effort than normal.

How long our "clever" developers exclude carrier players from ClanBattle???
friche_runamihn posted a topic in General Game Discussion
We are tired to hear your excuse, like "year of carrier". And, here is the thing. How long you guys exclude from Clan Battle??? As you can see, the Bravo's becomes obvious obstacle for not-top clan in CW. And the number of participants becomes less and less in this season, in all server. Then, why only carrier-decents have to patient? You guys told that the reason carrier must be out from CB is ensuring easiness of participation in CW. But, you guys already made barrier for new-comer for uniqum's sake. And, I feel we need huge change for veterans who has joined CB for three season. Most of us getting bored to current season. Then, you should allow carriers to join CB, like KotS or other tournaments. Most of clan in Hurricane/Typhoon/Storm have own carrier player. We have so many complains to you. You change the range and power of strafe in every major update, without any explain. You change the detail of AP bombs several times without any explain. And, most of new tech tree ships and buffed ships has crazy AA. Finally, crazy GZ. But, I don't ask you much. I just ask you to getting us back to "game". NO MORE RANDOM, WE NEED COMPETITIVE BATTLE!!!- 27 replies

During clan battle hours, I set myself as "Looking for Division" with a description that says - "Looking to complete Halloween scenario". After few seconds I get invite from some people with clan tags. When I join their division, I was like wth lol [ClanX]Player1 : Yamato - Ready [ClanX]Player2 : Des Moines - Ready [ClanY]Player3 : Gearing - Ready [ClanZ]Player4 : [Zao] - Ready [ClanW]Player5 : [Shimakaze] - Ready Player6 : Moskva - ready .. .. People still haven't figured it out yet that 7 players from same clan need to be in a division to play clan battle. Some even invite people who are not in any clan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Not to mention they don't bother reading my description) Some say "It's hard to find 7 tier 10 ships", others say "We don't have 7 players in our clan" I informed them about the fact and most of them leave the division within seconds. It happened 3/4 times today. Not just once.
